from THUNDERBOLT to INCREDIBLE?

I LOVE my Inc, but I'm seriously considering picking up a TB with my last NE2 this weekend. I'll be watching the threads and reviews to see what people have to say about it.

So I went into verizon today to look at a thunderbolt even though I can't upgrade till Dec. :( I really wasn't impressed with it. I liked the big screen and the front facing camera, but why in the world would you put the led indicator behind the ear piece? It was barely noticeable, if I wouldn't have been looking for it I would have never seen it.

Isn't the Incredible 2 also coming out soon?

It has a 4" (not 4.3 like the 'Bolt) screen and no 4G, but does have front facing camera.

I'm outside of LTE coverage, so it seems like a better choice for me.

I dont realy want a HUGE screen. 4in is good for me and so is 3g. No need to pay extra just for faster speeds.

Also it lacks a track pad :(, does anyone know why new HTC phones do have trackball or pad... the TBolt or the DInc 2 would be a perfect match for me if either had trackball/pad

I wish VZW would drop the ETF on the Incredible if you want a Thunderbolt

I have a DInc and I'm not eligible for my upgrade until December '11 but I was able to talk a over the phone rep into moving my upgrade date up and she gave me the 2 year price on the Thunderbolt. She had a supervisor do the override. I would call in and inquire. If you don't ask, you won't receive :D

I've had my Incredible since release date and overall I love it. The form factor is perfect, the screen is great, although troublesome in bright sunlight.

Batterlife is my biggest complaint. I refuse to get a 2100mA batter because I don't want to make the phone bigger than it is.

I still haven't rooted, but I'm considering it. Looking for a real compelling reason to do so. So far, I haven't found a good one yet.

Overall though, I think most people would be happy with with an Incredible for at least another year or so.

You just gave your own reason to root. Stay stock, or run one of the awesome sense ROMs out there, either way, swap kernels for heyitslou's #4, 8, or 9. Using #9 and redemptive revolution, I go all day on my Sedio 1750 stock- size battery. While the extra capacity matters, so does the kernel. A lot. I have had much worse battery life with other kernels. YMMV, but worth a try now that rooting is quite simple.

I got the TB (coming today), and that was my biggest concern. However, I learned that Sense 2 (and android 2.3 IIRC) has a feature where if you press-hold on a word, it will bring up a zoomed in box where you can more accurately choose where to put the cursor. That is good enough for me.

For all my smack talk about how the TB was too big, etc. Mine should be delivered tomorrow. :)

I don't think it's smack talk. I think people are just saying that it's bigger than they personally would want. If you want a 4.3" phone, or the size isn't a huge problem for you, I'm pretty sure nobody really cares.
