From Verizon - 170 Droid X's shipped early in error.

Just release the phone already.... stores already have them but can't sell them til the 15th.
 
I really wish they would release it now!! I'm impatient :p Seriously I understand street dates, etc. but with the HTC Incredible on backorder (yes I do realize this isn't Verizon's fault), and the competition having a hard time keeping up too (Evo 4G and iPhone 4), why not just release it early since some are slipping out anyway?

Oh, I can dream.....
 
They let people activate Incredibles, which were sent out early by mistake about two weeks before launch.
 
Something I don't understand is how Verizon can just miss these accidentally, like they did with the Incredible. If I was Verizon, I would have a major lockdown on anything X in terms of sales and shipment.
 
but that would just make things too dull, think about it... we wouldn't have all these little forums telling us info we shouldn't know.

well good thing vzw fails at keeping street dates, and not making phone calls;)

lol, i know what you mean....but apples system crashed and peoples orders were cancelled and all this other drama
