froyo 2.2 for virgin usa samsung intercept

One thing zI have noticed since the update..
I will be charging my phone and it will beep and say the battery is fully charged. If I then look at the battery level it will be nowhere near full... (70% etc) and as it charges it will keep giving me the popup that it is fully charged..
It is charging fine but Im wondering what is causing the pre-emptive full charged messages..

To anyone who has done the update:

Is it faster now, working better?

Can you tell a difference?

Since the update, my phone interrupts youtube videos and my yahoo contacts are deleted EVERY SINGLE DAY. It also takes about 5 minutes to load once turned on. I have an 8GB sd card.

HELP !!
I am using intercept for almost 9 months now and still on 2.1
And..this is August already

No alert or text or anything to update to 2.2. I wanted 2.2 very much
What shall I do ? I prefer to avoid fiddlingwith the phone..so, its not rooted or anything.
