Froyo in Sept official

ah lol ok thanks! I'm an andriod newb. still reading and learning

It's a lot to take in. I've only really started learning about Android for the last 3 weeks, but the community is extremely helpful and a caring bunch. Even if I buy an iPhone 4 after taking back my Captivate, I will most likely stay on these forums.

I thought developers/manufacturers had access to Froyo since the end of May? September doesn't seem far fetched at all, but I do wish the phone had launched with Froyo. Would have been an amazing start.

I look forward to the update when it becomes available. Patience is a virtue.....that I am slooooowly learning. cheaha bill

I'm thinking that even if Gingerbread is released according to plan, it will be next year before we see the dual core phones and the 2ghz phones. Not only do they need to work on battery life for these phones to be viable, three phone manufacturers released fairly high end phones recently. HTC the EVO, Motorola the Droid X and Droid 2, as well as Samsung and the Galaxy S. Of these, the only one I see possibly having a phone ready by Christmas is HTC because they breed phones like bunnies.

Forget Gingerbread, I want Honeycomb the next update after Gingerbread! hahaha!!! I know I'm impatient.

"Fruitcake" will be the ultimate. :D Christmas would be a realistic time frame and all would be happy. Not sure, what year, but hey.....with all the the hype, we could look forward :)
I'll look for it when I see it coming.
