Root Froyo, Tweaked and Enhanced

Did a nandroid backup and returned to OTA 2.1v1 with root. Only way I could get wifi tethering to work. Leak versions were great and gave me an idea of whats to come but I'll wait for the official version. I'm sure someone will root it like they just did with EVO

i did this too. and my battery is now still at 96% after an hour. my phone rings again too. they def have some work to do before a full release. i know this was an old build, but its still not close.

6 hours off the charger, and I am at 91%. Thats with facebook, twitter, flikr, and two email accounts syncing over 3G.

Oh and I also took a phone call during that time.

My secret? Turn off always on data, and charge the phone to full while off.

Then I booted to clockwork and deleted the battery stats. Booted back up and here I am.

I did have bad battery life last night, but there was a thunderstorm brewing outside and I lost data. Plus my time without signal was 62%.
 
It works ok on mine. This is a stock Android Messaging app. If it causes issue, check the notification settings and if that fails, install the htc messaging app patch.
 
I have missed your roms from when you left the omnia ... It only took me 10 minutes to go from bone stock to this rom... looking forward to your work with the incredible now... thanks

edit... why did I just get an email from "android team" congratulating me on my new nexus one? this part of the market fix I assume
 
Question, What's the apk for the verizon mobile 3g hotspot? I can't find it anywhere and I wanted to remove it. Thanks.

Oh and I know it's not included in this ROM but I still like some of the things adrynalyne took out so I'm just modifying the stock ROM right now which is why I'm asking.

I got 1 quick question... I'm kind of new to this but I succesfully installed froyo and its working fine but for the tweaks listed under the main rom do I install them from the clockwork recovery like I'm installing a rom>? I notice their zip files so thats my guess just making sure

the wifi tether had nothing to do with the rom... you need a bin file in a android.tether folder on your sdcard... I created the folder and moved the file and now I have working tether...

Ok, this is going to sound like a crazy request....but..

I have a HTC EVO, and i used a ROM from AvalancheMod. It was a Froyo port from the HTC incredible. It had a, what i think, a better messaging app then the EVO has on the official froyo release. So i want to know how i can port the Verizon Incredible MMS.apk to my EVO.

On page one, i saw a zip with the MMS.apk in it and flashed it to my EVO while running 2.2. The app does not work... its not in the app drawer or in the home screen. If i make a anycut short cut to a direct message, it says the app is not longer installed. If i use root explorer and try to install the MMS.apk it says it can not be installed.

Also i need the voice mail app for my EVO to. I cant use the VVM from sprint.

Actually that port was from the Desire. Im not sure what the difference is in messaging apps. Got any screenshots comparing?
 
I've tried loading this ROM a couple times. Each time, it comes up with the same error:

E:No space left on device
E:Error writing BOOT:
Installation aborted.

I've attached the recovery log. Any help is appreciated.

Including one when it goes to flash the kernel. I don't know if thats normal, its a little beyond me. I'm thinking its not.

Maybe try formatting all of your partitions, including boot through the partitions menu in clockwork before trying it.

I got that same error loading a couple rom's havent found an answer yet. They seem to flash and function fine though? Next rom I flash I'll try AD's suggestions, I also keep forgetting to just try different sd card for the heck of it...the one in my Dinc now has been in more phones than I'd like to think about.
