No it will not. Whether a phone has multitouch is pretty much defined by its hardware. The Galaxy i5500 does not have the hardware to support multitouch.will the phone get multitouch with the upgrade to 2.2
Cheers, eddyboi!the update is finally on kies

Depending on where you bought it, it might not be a Belgian phone at all. I bought mine as a deal in the Aldi, which are apparently German phones (Aldi bought them through Medion is what the label on the box says).where do you guys live? Here in belgium still not available![]()
Good idea broCan people post what network they are with as they get their updates?

Oh okDepending on where you bought it, it might not be a Belgian phone at all. I bought mine as a deal in the Aldi, which are apparently German phones (Aldi bought them through Medion is what the label on the box says).
But yeah, I'm still waiting as well.
same story here then. I also bought mine in the Aldi. But how u mean as a deal? Together with their mobile network? Or just for a nice price? I got mine just for the nice price and its also with the medion label on the box.Deal as in:I also bought mine in the Aldi. But how u mean as a deal?
LoL what a coincidence, i'm also a mobile viking user since i got the phone, and i got it last week with a 2nd price cutoff the phoneDeal as in:
a) it's not one of their regular products, hence it's a "deal".
b) I bought mine when they knocked some more of the price after a month.
On a side note: of course I didn't sign up for their mobile network. I'm a Mobile Vikings user, can't beat MV when it comes to Internet over phone.
It seems it is being slowly rolled out country by country, network by network. So far in the UK it seems to only be available on T-Mobile as of last week.
Hopefully patience will pay off for all eventually.
So 02 very soon then in the uk?
I'm on o2 and I got it last week (see above)I hope so. Waiting for O2 myself.
As far as I remember from reading these forum, that message is what you get when you have a phone that has a non-standard firmware already.Kies says that this version of the device cannot be updated!
It should be from what I've read here. Considering you posted earlier that your Kies says "This device can not be updated" rather than "You already have the latest firmware" I'd advice you to look at my earlier post (http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-europa-5/249130-froyo-update-samsung-i5500.html#post2730067).Is 2.2 available on kies yet for 02?
