Full version of Angry Birds

Runs fine on mine, rooted, OC'd, no ROM. Slower than on the Sprint EVO but definately playable, no lag or white boxes.

If your Eris times out and Angry Birds is all messed up when you turn it back on, simply hold your Home button to bring up the six most recent apps and select Angry Birds. It will restore it back to how it should be and right where you left off.

If you want to play Angry Birds on the Eris you either have to deal with 1 FPS or install the old beta. The beta ran fine but when the devs did the "upgrade for older devices" it fell apart.

That's why the version specifically for older devices cannot come sooner.

Someone had worked on a tweaked version of Angry Birds (dubbed Impaled Angry Birds) in the XDA forum. Speed was increased and the ads were removed. But Rovio asked that it be removed. Might be the only way to play a newer copy with all the graphics until Rovio releases a fixed version of their own.

No, the previous update was FOR older devices. Angry Birds was never meant to run on the Eris.
Which failed miserably and they saw this. All the previous update did was enable HVGA support with some fixes, but most of the game remained the same, and obviously the Eris can't handle most of the graphics and such. They are coming out with a light version. They determined the previous update was not acceptable for older devices.

A lightweight Angry Birds in the works

From the beginning, we have wanted to make Angry Birds available for every feasible Android device. This is why we chose to distribute the game via GetJar, and why the game is supported by advertising. We tested the game extensively on a large number of devices, and gathered all the feedback we received from our beta testing to address every possible issue.

So far, we have hesitated to create multiple versions of Angry Birds for the Android platform. But judging by the feedback we have received, we feel that by providing a lightweight solution, we are doing a favour for our fans.
We are currently developing a lighter solution to run Angry Birds on lower end Android devices. This does not mean lighter gameplay or a lesser amount of levels, but a game experience optimized for devices with less processing power.

Again, we are thankful for your continuing feedback and support - we want to work together with our fans to provide the best game ever made on the Android platform!
I'm assuming they will downgrade the visuals in order to make it smoother.
