i finally was able get this downloaded via the computer and put it on my phone. it freaking rocks thank you again for all the help.
 
When I click the camera in the Gallery app, it can only take pictures at a small resolution, is that suppose to happen?

When I click the camera button in the Gallery App, I can take photos in a small resolution at 640 x 416. I cannot shoot video. In the stock camera app, I can shoot in 5 megapixels and shoot video. Do I have to be rooted so the Gallery App can take advantage of the camera?
 
No, and I haven't heard if that issue before. Since I didn't actually make the app-only fixed it- I can't do too much, sorry. I also don't have much experience with sense. I know for a fact though that on white widow it pulls up a 5mp camera, I compile that one myself.

Oh I see, it's ok. Well I was trying to set the Gallery App as the default photo gallery, but when I go to clear the defaults on the stock Photo app, there are no defaults.
 
Are you able to tweak the Gallery App so I can make it my default photo gallery? Like when I take a picture using the stock Camera and want to view it, it will take me to the Gallery App, not the Photos app.

from what ive seen it ALL depends on that sd card.
shit though..i wouldnt care how complicated it was...id try it. i wouldnt keep my eris if i couldnt get root. id sell it. then buy another one. rinse wash and repeat till you achieve the desired effects :P
 
this application (temporarily) hosed my eris running manually downloaded 2.1 .

the only other non-standard app i'm running is the HTC_IME.lo (voice to text).

the symptom was constant, and i mean constant, restarts.

i returned my eris to verizon.

i managed a new eris from verizon (htc).

like a fool, i reinstalled it on the new (to me) eris.

luckily i was able to uninstall it (via astro).

i seem to be okay now.

i apologize if i missed reading a post that would've made this post unnecessary.

thought my anecdote might be interesting to someone out there on the interwebs.

Just downloaded White Widow and the 3D gallery is buggin' out on me. I've tried to download the fix in post #29 but filefactory won't let me. Can someone point me to where I can download the non-buggy Gallery?

Have you tried reflashing the ROM (after nand backup of course)? It seems like the version that came coded on the WW4.6 works fine.
 
Post #29 is over two months old. Not sure if that's the apk you want to be using. Did you wipe before re-flashing WW4.6?

*Edit* I know on the SD card you should have a folder titled "White Widow Optional Installs". Inside that folder is a gallery apk, but I think it's the 2D version.
