Root Funky Evo issues. Maybe related to Decks Reloaded?

Every time I restart my phone nothing on the SD card loads. I have to restart my phone over and over until one time the apps and stuff will randomly load. Also, it never saves my widgets if I restart. I always have to re-do my clock battery stats, etc.

New problem that just started- My phone is on, but when I hit the power button the only thing that happens is the 4 buttons on the bottom of the phone light up like they should when the screen first comes on. The screen stays dark. Then the buttons turn of as they would if you turned on your phone but then didn't move past the unlock screen.

Had/Have the same problem...what size sd card to you have? I have a workaround for that issue

Try a different governer and scheduler...such as smartass2 with deadline

My answers in red

what would a new governor do and what is the purpose of a scheduler? Never messed with those before.

And my SD card is the 8GB one that came with my EVO. not anywhere near full.

I think the best way to explain a governer is this link...still a little hard to understand sometimes, but I have been thru what you are going thru...see this link about governers... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26884865&postcount=2

Most of your reboot issues happen to folks like me who have a class 10 card.
However, try this workaround to prevent apps/widgets from "disappearing"
Side note---this issue is why I never try to shut off my phone lol
If you shut off phone, boot into recovery. (via hboot)
Wipe cache and dalvik twice.
Then fix permissions.
Then choose the "repair ext extention"
Reboot.
Let phone completely boot up and let the screen go off after reboot.
For me it takes about 10-15 minutes....I know, I know, what a PITA right?
It works for me, and I rarely shut off my phone unless it acts wonky...
(like today, but I think I got it fixed)

Edit: is your sd card partitioned? Did you flash Decks with or without a2sd?
