Galaxy Captivate

So I just crossed over from the "dark side" and so far I'm loving it. Only issue I'm having is syncing my Captivate with my computer. I downloaded Kies and still can't seem to get it to work. Can't seem to even connect the phone to Kies either. Any helpful hints or otherwise would be much appreciated.

What exactly are you trying to sync?

Honestly, unless you're trying to sync Outlook information, Kies is going to be harder to get working than it is usefull. I guess an exception would be if you want to do a firmware update, but I don't know if it would be usefull even then since Kies may only do updates for Samsung proper hardware and not carrier variants like the Captivate.

I'd give Doubletwist a try if you're only worried about music/pictures/video.
