Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

For those that have seen Gravity. Here is the other side of the mayday call.

Haven't looked at your link yet. Is this the "ham radio" scene?

As an aside, I can't believe how freaking hot she is at 50.

Works fine for me and I never turn off GPS.

How often you actually need location services vs apps and services just banging away at it are two different things.

If that doesn't work, clear data in play services.

Looks like I can't do anything in regards to cleaning data/cache for Google Play Services. Not sure why it's consuming so much battery, but I'm getting concerned now.

Still don't understand. If I turn it completely off, Maps doesn't work. Keeps telling me to turn it on.

Edit: Looks like any other app that needs GPS prompts me to turn it on. Don't see a way I can isolate usage of GPS per app.

I'm running the latest Maps and I've been pulling this stunt for a year and a half.

I occasionally zero in GPS using GPS Status and Toolbox - reset data and download aGPS data. Something you want to do from time to time anyway.

After doing that, pull up Maps, refuse the option to get high accuracy via wifi and location services.

Pull up the satellite layer.

See if it doesn't work.

If it doesn't, they broke something.

If you're reliant on Google Now, forget it.

You need location services for that.

Just got back from my meth dealer, Best Buy.

I couldn't get over the lag on Note 10.1.

Good bye, sweet sweet Pen.

Hello, Retina Mini. Now go hide in the drawer. I will call upon you only when needed.

I honestly thought they would turn me away since I'm technically banned from returning. But my receipt from Note 10.1 says that all returns since Nov. 3 are eligible for holiday extended returns.

They went ahead and did it.

I saw they're hitting the T-Mobile and AT&T Moto X now also... Gee, sure do feel special with my NEXUS device... But I'm happy they are finally rolling it out.

I never thought I would see the day a Moto had an OTA before a Nexus. Never. Never. What, yes, I fed the pink horses. Yes, yes, I put the nets up so the flying pigs wouldn't steal the feed. Shhh..., people will think I'm wierd if I keep talking to you.:vroam:

Well, there's still hope for you even if you did drink the Kool Aid, since we were only TOLD that we're getting KitKat. It hasn't arrived just yet ;) Who knows, it could arrive around the time Star Wars Episode VII comes out.

Yeah I got it last night for both my 2012 and 2013. I'm glad I have a Nexus 7, so I still get some Nexus love. I have to wait till Q1 for my phone to get it. :P

Bought a low-speed buffer off Craigslist for our hardwood floors. Some of the best money we've ever spent: this place has a mirror finish to it!

The technologically-impaired but still beautiful and charming Darling Bride gets her next Moto X Monday! Hopefully THIS one will work

I'm tired, folks. Heavy cleaning, steam-mopping and buffing will take it out of an old Chief! I was going to cook something easy for dinner... I found something even easier. Pizza delivery :D

EDIT: Normally I would post a Craigslist ad like this title in Member Found Deals, but it's just too good a deal - I mean, the entire Verizon 4G LTE network for only $120!

"For Sale: Verizon 4G LTE"

:p

The listing was actually for an LG Spectrum. Good luck selling a 2-year old phone for that much...
