I took a look at the Black Exodus page on XDA, the dev's sig indicates that he's running AOKP 17 and 2.2 of his theme.
Yuck. Huge and ugly.

It's all about the screen. The phone is very efficient when the screen is off, I estimate that I could probably get 25-30 hours from my extended battery on standby or very very light usage. However, while playing a game on an emulator, I can burn through the whole battery in 2-4 hours. Something like that won't really be solved with getting a larger battery. It'll increase the overall numbers, sure, but it won't really address the root of the issue.

They're great! They're going to be small it seems. Sort of a surprise, but a good one. They have almost all their big girl teeth in and they're still 16 and 20 lbs at 18.5 weeks! They're getting their breadboxes taken out in the beginning of Feb so that should be interesting. haha.
One good story for them is from NYE. Boo, like her namesake from To Kill A Mockingbird, is afraid of a lot of things. Our neighbors set of fireworks, right across the street. And not the small kind! Well she was terrified and her daddy tried to take her outside to pee -- she hid under our deck for 3 hours! We had to crawl in the mud underneath it (its only 2.5-3 feet off the ground) to get her out.
My wife's dog (Toby) was also terrified of fireworks. we took him to the community July 4th party when he was probably 3 or 4, and he experienced them for the first time. We were sitting in Left field, and when the first one exploded, he bolted, trailing his leash behind. Thankfully someone caught him as he was heading out of the gate in right field, and held him for me to catch up. THe poor dog was breathing insanely fast, and smelled awful from sweat, was terrified.
Fast forward two years, we were setting off some tame, non-exploding (sparkles and hisses only) fireworks in the front driveway. We decided to let the dogs including him come out and play. I lit one of the bigger fountains, but instead of sparks, it exploded in one shot, a massive boom. Once we calmed the kids down, we realized Toby was gone. We never saw him again. Please be careful with dogs and fireworks, I never want anyone to have to experience what we did.

Yep, tried face unlock once. I tried it in a very dimly lit room and it didn't work. Got rid of it quite fast
I thought it worked fine, but what I found annoying (and the reason I ultimately turned it off) was that it required a backup security mechanism to use when it failed. I wanted to be able to unlock my screen without always having to pick up the phone. Face unlock doesn't work when it can't see your face.

On the OG Droid, I had to set up a pattern lock to establish a connection with our company's Exchange server (a server-side requirement), but once I set up the account, I simply disabled the pattern lock screen and everything worked fine. I guess the server was content that I had a pattern set but never checked that it was actively being used.
Interesting. I'll look at my wife's Bionic when she gets home and see if I can disable it. Thanks!

Well, I noticed I lost all battery charge while SOL with service (in an underground movie theater). Went from ~60% to 10% in 2 hours. Yikes! Got to learn to turn all data off when in a bad area.

okay here's a weird thing, charging with the cable and charger that came with the phone it showed "charging (usb)" . Switched the cable out for my touchpad cable and it said charging (ac). my car charger that puts out .95 amp also says (ac). Don't understand why the stock cable doesn't. The touchpad cable is about twice as thick. it's made for the 2 am touchpad charger.

My guess is Rezound is typical of most Android phones and that Nexus just needs the wakeup bug(s) fixed to be similar. Does anybody know for sure what a normal range is?
Nexus' 4.7" isn't that much larger than Rezound's 4.3" and I think the Nexus' SAMOLED will be about the same or maybe a little better efficiency than the Rezound's LCD. And besides, the power used by the screen isn't directly related to the power consumed by the "Android OS" task.

If you try faux's kernel and have ever been on an imoseyon kernel I'd flash faux's reset kernel before going to faux's stable release.
Interesting....the stock Samsung phones do have a mic it works well, but during a phone call it does sound a little odd even though plenty loud enough.
NFC is very useful I use it everyday!

Anyone else using this? I had been using AirDroid, but EarlyMon is correct about it bring s-l-o-w, especially when trying to copy AVI files.
I installed and setup swiFTP, and I am able to connect from my Mac (using FileZilla) to /sdcard, but I can't write to any of the subdirectories as they all 766 and Root Explorer claims I can not change their permissions. I also tried writing directly to /sdcard (which is 777) but FileZilla gave me an error and stopped.
Anyone know what the "trick" is to using swiFTP successfully with the Nexus? Or, what is the latest preferred method for copying large files from a Mac to a GN?
EDIT: Never mind. On a whim, I connected my phone via USB to the Mac and it immediately connected as a media device and opened a window for the sdcard. I'm copying files as we speak. Who knew it could be so easy?

Daughter wants a <cough, hack> iDontKnowWhy 4S for her 16th Birthday. Why? Because all the friends have them and they iChat or whatever. This after having to get her a Bold last year for the same reasons and BB Messenger. Of course, she's 16 almost, so do I stand a chance of convincing her to BE the trend-setter by going Android? Of course not.
