Can you guys do me a favor?
Can you swipe down the notification bar, touch on settings, then tap Display?
When you tap Display, is there a noticeable or significant lag?
I don't want to take it in again if I'm just overreacting.
TIA

I'm getting the extended battery so I don't have to carry a second one around. ;PDoes everyone just throw the spare battery in a pocket or does it need to be in a little baggie ? I am so careful its crazy but if I don't have to be quite as anal retentive about it I would be happy.
Well I am still torn here, but maybe I can get some suggestions from you guys. I have been doing pretty much nothing but complaining about my reception...Do you guys think I should just wait it out till updates? Or go back to VZW and see if it is my unit? Waiting till an update is something I suppose I can do, but I know that 4.1 probably won't be coming for another couple months...it is just beyond frustrating not being able to make phone calls in my own house.

(Though FWIW when I had a second battery for my OG Droid I just carried it in my coat pocket.)
Is it everywhere or just your house? Is anyone else in your area that can see if its your phone?
Year, he definitely lied to you about getting double the usage, so far I would feel comfortable telling you I probably get an extra hour to hour and a half from it vs stock
Well I guess it's everywhere. I have never gotten full 4g coverage when I am smack in the middle of a 4g area. Nobody else I know down here has a Nexus...a guy I know is getting one this week sometime. In my house though, I get 0 bars of 3g and 4g, sometimes 1 bar of either. I had a Droid X with full 3g at all times in the house, so does my bro in law and my sister with her Dinc2.
by the way, at what post count will my avatar show? or is there an issue with it, since it's not showing up?
Sorry to hear that you have to go back to VZW Han.
I'd bring it in then. Have them look at it. If everyone else gets signal it might be the phone.
I am a light user of the phone. I don't run movies on it, or run the GPS for navigation, I think it would probably last longer on mine. since the phone is new, I didn't really get a chance to try the standard battery's longevity. so by starting to use the extended, I don't have a reference point.
considering VZW is only charging 25 for the extended battery and it barely adds any bulk to the phone, I consider it a must have accessory.
Instead of a 2100 mAh battery, I
Yeah, me too.
I actually dont like to keep bothering them about it, because I know that its taking sales away from them and increasing the number of phones that need to be refurbished. But I also dont like plunking down $300 and not getting the same quality as everyone else who paid the same amount of money.
Oh well, what can you do.
I throw the fully charged, spare battery in my inside jacket pocket.
Yesterday my wife and I went to a really crappy town because she and a friend were looking at St. Bernard puppies that a breeder was selling (the friend got one. A BEAUTIFUL pup!), and I went around to Best Buy and Verizon looking for cases and stuff. Then I wandered over to the mall and surfed, watched a movie, etc.
My battery was down to 13% when I swapped it out. It was awesome seeing my phone back to 100% and ready to go!
I think that beats an extended battery any day of the week.
Instead of a 2100 mAh battery, Im getting the equivalent of a 3700 mAh battery, with the only inconvenience being the 30 seconds it takes to swap!
Yeah that's what I thought, but I have seen a lot of people getting spotty reception and have heard Samsung's radios are just sub par.
I talked to a lady from tech support Thursday night about it and she said someone would call me back with further info of what to do because she thought it may be my device as well, but nobody ever called back
Instead of a 2100 mAh battery, I
the only caveat i have with that is, i dont believe the rear cover is going to hold up well over time with pulling it off and putting it back on regularly to swap batteries. the tabs around the perimeter that snap it on/off dont look all that stout to me
I don't mind carrying the spare back for the extended. Its a lower profile than the back for the extended on the Dinc so it fits a little better. That makes me happpy.
I think it was Hans that said this and I am sure most of you caught it too, but the standard battery cover fits with the extended battery in just fine. I only have to carry around the spare standard battery.
Morning. Anyone notice their battery not fully charging over night? I have the circle battery widget installed and at least two nights now after plugging in with the phone on and waking up the next morning, the circle battery showed it at 98%, but the lock screen said it was charged fully. This morning it did it and I unplugged and replugged the charger in and in about ten minutes it went up to 100% according the widget. Not a huge deal, just wondering if anyone else experienced this or if this is a battery or widget issue.
