Google Wallet app. No need for root. Go get it!
Root and # V all-in-one nice! gl and hf
And for those who will use wallet this might be a handy app as well.
I do have paypass around me! Got my 10 bucks too. Thanks again. You are in answer mode tonight. Might have to start a collection to get you something nice. Not a phone though, that's already been done. :-D
lol! All of y'all talking about this makes me want to go to VZ and compare mine now. Although I've been on amoled for so long so I feel I've got a good grasp on some of the tradeoffs for the tech.
Are you seeing grays at very low brightness only jmar?
Guess whose new Nexus is UNLOCKED AND ROOTED? MINE! MINE! MINE!
Took some blood sweat and tears but got it! Now just to set everything back up...sigh.
Have a great evening everyone!

I am guessing it' only on the auto brightness. I see s kinda greyish look/pattern when set on that and it's at low brightness. You can kinda tell it's just something with the AMOLED tech mostly though as it goes away if you jack the brightness up. Actually kinda wish mine had the auto brightness biased a little higher than it is. It looks awesome at high brightness, but in normal indoor lighting on auto I do see a greyish pattern in white backgrounds.
It really does just look like an weak point of AMOLED tech when the pixels aren't pushing out much light rather than a flaw with my display. My take is that it's caused because each pixel group doesn't have QUITE exact brightness and light output so you get some areas that are a TINY bit more white/brighter than others and it creates a kind gray/white pattern. As the brightness setting increases this anomaly seems to go away and everything just looks flat white. My display does tend toward a pretty DIM setting on Auto though and I am looking forward to some customization to tweak that so I still get auto brightness, but with a bit brighter bias.
Thinking about trying out Nova Launcher to get the extra row of app space. Anyone else tried it out?
I do too, I just really want the extra row of app space. I hope Nova Launcher hasn't changed too much else.I think Hans is running it. I like the stock launcher a lot so far!

I really miss being able to swipe down on my status bar to select and turn on wifi, bluetooth, GPS etc. but I have found a workaround. Anyone ever heard of bar control?
NM, I figured out that the settings is there after all. I just didn't recognize it.

I replied once, but think you might have missed it. I love this feature in CM and got so used to it I miss it. Widgetsoid in market can net you what you want I think. Here's what it looks like courtesy of andy2na over @ xda. It's not quite the same as CM's, but as close as we can get at the moment afaik.
EDIT: and the hex code for ICS blue is here in case you try it and want it to match (courtesy of cosmicbb)
Even at above 50% brightness.

Woohoo! I was close but I couldn't quite get it to match.
And with that, I'm goin to bed.
G'nite all!!
Yeah I'm not seeing that. About 30% is the cutoff for me where the whites look white and the graininess goes away.
You going to return?
Hi Guys, New to the site. Picked up a Galaxy Nexus from VZW on the day it became available. So far loving the phone. I have a question that I can't get a straight answer and hoping you can help.
There are 5 icons on the screen, left of the homepage. I was told the 4th from left, the two circular arrows are screen tilt lock (looks like a sync icon). I have played with it and can't get it to lock the screen in portrait mode (nor to stop sync).
The 5 homepage icons on Galaxy Nexus starting from left should be:
WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Tilt Lock, Display Brightness
but the tilt lock doesn't do anything, unless it's for something else. What's it for? Thanks.
