Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

excellent, didnt know it was possible through rommgr. i did it through there so i could name it as i wished "4.0.2-unlk-root-cwm-plain" lol

i always do it through rom manager, just so i can rename. "stock_4.0.2_rooted" is a lot easier to identify in a list than "2011-12-18-00.42.22" or whatever CWM defaults to.

Can't believe there are already two 4.0.3 ROM's (cdma) being tossed around looks interesting. Might have to wait a day or two till some kinks are worked out.

Anyone know the best podcatcher for galaxy nexus? Google listen is good except I would like to be able to download my podcasts and have it saved where I am into them when i turn the device off.

I simply set "System Brightness" to 50%. I tried 75% but it was blinding. Mess around with it, I left everything else alone... but that certainly did the trick for me.

If all you're doing is changing "System Brightness" in the Screen Adjuster app, then you don't actually need the app. Changing "System Brightness" is the same as changing your screen brightness through Settings->Display->Brightness.

Hey welcome to the waterin' hole :)

idk about podcasts, but I'm sure someone here does.

Thinking I am going to have to trade mine in too. Even my wife is seeing the greys. :(

jmar

lol! All of y'all talking about this makes me want to go to VZ and compare mine now. Although I've been on amoled for so long so I feel I've got a good grasp on some of the tradeoffs for the tech.

Are you seeing grays at very low brightness only jmar?

got it! thanks for the heads up

edit: mine is crashing, and when it doesnt crash, its stuck on "verifying your account with money network" under the google prepaid card

I honestly haven't tried it. Nowhere to use it here in the sticks.
Check over on xda. That's where the apk originated.

Yeah, I didn't really think my screen had any issues, but after reading all this crap, it got me paranoid. I ended up going in and comparing my phone to the display unit. Luckily, mine was slightly brighter than the display unit (both set a 100% brightness) and looked relatively the same at low brightness. And mine actually had consistently faster download speeds using the speedtest.net app (using same server).
