Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Well, hello everyone! I am now the new proud owner of a Galaxy Nexus, courtesy of one of the Google IO contests here on Phandroid! I am loving it. I hope to make friends with you all! This phone is beautiful, and Jelly Bean is awesome! I am so excited!!!!!

Yes, I know you do. I did tell you if I won that I would get you one. If you private message me your info, I will pick one out for you from our local shop and mail it to you. If my local shop doesn't still have them, then I will find one online! However, I would expect a photo of you wearing it when you receive it! :D:smokingsomb::viking::viking::viking:

And I would totally wear it, our place has been home to no less than 6 sock monkies! (yes,the number has grown) :)

Aww, that is sweet. I will do, I know just the place too. There is a women and children's shelter here that has helped me get through a rough patch in my life, and they are always in need of help with money, toys, clothes, everything. I will send them a donation. I have been meaning to do that anyway, so this was just the spurring on that I needed.

I have only been the proud owner of one sock monkey that my great grandmother made during the depression, she gave it to me when I was very young. I also have the hat of course.
 
I'd never even heard of them until about 20 years ago.

Being a monkey myself, we made friends right off. :D

You're blessed to have cared for one with such a great history!

I've never had one, just the kids passing through have.

I am not sure when the n7 is coming. I expect any day now. I can't wait though!

Hmm, don't know. I'll have to look into it. Just loaded up Liquid (not sure which nightly) and the Play Store didn't restore my apps. Ugh.
Got a bit of time this morning, maybe I'll look into AOKP.

Gah, these downloads are taking forever. And for whatever reason, I always have to use Firefox. Chrome stalls almost any download about 50Meg regardless of location.
 
Going to see it later today. Trying to convince my wife to go to the IMAX in 3D but she hates 3D. :o

Made the dumb mistake of not transferring the new ROM to my phone before wiping it in recovery. :eek: Anyone know how to transfer files while in TW recovery? I tried mounting the SD Card but my PC never recognized it.

Huh? That's what I was wondering. It's playing at two of our museums in town, Air and Space and Natural History. I know she said she's cool with IMAX but doesn't want 3D. Just assumed so.

Natural History IMAX claims to be the largest flat screen on the East Coast. :eek:
 
The closest Imax to me is near Pittsburgh. I would like to go there and watch it but haven't made it out there yet.
 
The one we've been to is in Silver Spring (about 20 min away). Saw Prometheus and The Avengers there. It's worth it (to me), but VERY pricey. Something stupid like $18.
We saw a space doc. at the Air and Space Museum. It's a legit IMAX.
 
I've seen a few movies in an Imax. It would be nice if they would build one here. I don't see that ever happening. I'm going to see about a transfer next year to Pittsburgh after I upgrade. I'm not sure that it will be allowed though?

Have to say Sharapova is probably one of the most beautiful olympians out there. :)
(however, she's not doing so well against Serena Williams)

You can try the adb commands to push, but only if the phone is recognized...sorry.
Do you not have any ROMs on your phone at all or did you just wipe the entire thing?
