Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Used Apex for only a few seconds and went right back to Nova (Prime). Just my go to. Don't need all the bells and whistles that Go and others have now with JB.

Ryan, funny cake story from our wedding. We didn't want a cake, just mini desserts but my wife's mom really wanted us to have the "stuff your face with cake" photo.
Anyway, couple weeks before the wedding I ordered a small one tier cake from a local bakery that looked pretty reputable. Showed up the day of the wedding to pick it up with my dad and guess what, they "lost" the order and never made it!
Working in the industry and having a background in pastry, yeah, I got a little upset.
Firmly stood my ground and was like, "yeah, you're gonna fix this and make a cake". Fortunately they threw something together, it looked fine, tasted pretty good too. Only 1 of a few (;)) snafus from the day.

Really having bad luck lately on ROMs I've flashed for the N7 and GNex. Battery hardly lasts two days even without use on the N7 after flashing the latest CNA. Used to get 4 days with about 5-6 hours of use. Very sluggish performance as well. Even flashed Trinity hoping it would help, and it did somewhat, but still horrid compared to what it was on a couple of versions ago on CNA.

The GNex has suffered slightly, but still worse than it was on Sourcery a few versions ago. Just sluggish it seems. Battery has been ok, but I seem to be having issues getting a data connection on the phone after leaving a wifi area. Have to turn to airplane and then back off of airplane to get it to connect most of the time.

Heh, that would make more sense. Got to read things more closely..

Out of curiosity, what sort of battery life do you guys get on your Nexii usually nowadays?

I think he was talking about the N7

Indeed, the N7 barely gets more than a day now with almost now use. Died this morning at about 5AM (battery warning woke me up) after going to bed with it around 60% May be time to flash something different on the N7.

Side note: Went ahead and pulled the trigger last night.

I might move away from CNA because my battery has been pretty awful lately.

Might switch to the Sourcery everyone seems to be mentioning here, but may go back to Jelly Belly - we shall see.

I get morning to night so I don't pay much attention. Although I just today got 4G at work (first time my phone has tasted 4G) so I'll have to pay attention for the next few days.

Wow. Screen grab from a web stored replay of the game from Saturday, so poor quality, but just wow. QB puts the ball on the money yet still gets intercepted.

My offspring is about to get in trouble. The bell for the end of the day rang 22 minutes ago and she still isn't out.

It is nice to hear the kids still get paddled in school. Permission shouldn't be needed and it needs to happen at home more too.

^I just find it particularly ridiculous that they approved it over the phone and then re-thought after the child got home and found out it actually did hurt like it's supposed to :P

I probably shouldn't get started on school punishment. Too much crap on both sides to ever have a perfect solution. But... In this situation, here is what I see wrong.

1. Letting the child decide the punishment. Nope. Wrong.
2. Violating district rules. Sorry, but if they are there, they need to be followed. Not saying whether it is a good rule or not, but it was in effect at the time of the punishment, the administrator violated the rules, and he needs to be punished as well.
3. Parent second guessing. Your daughter made the choice, you approved it, if you didn't ask about force levels before approving it, your fault. If you think a spanking is a light tap on the behind, well... sorry. The point of corporal punishment is to discourage offenders from repeating the offense. Guarantee you the girl would think twice before commiting the same offense again... except, back to number one, you give her an out.
