Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

The AMA's are finishing with the greatest collaboration between PSY and MC Hammer - it's a mix of Gangnam style and To Legit to Quit. Was one of my favorites of the nite. Along with Christina Aguilera doing a song about accepting people as they are - complete with a lot of different people and Pink is just amazing in what she does.

Morning all... Hope everyone's weekend was good... Up early, too sore to sleep. Pain is not a good way to start the week... Just saying.
Hope everyone is happy it's a short week, and that you are (somewhat) starving yourselves for the feast to come... Seems as though there are a few people here that I would rather get together with instead of my family... Considering the menus that have been written already!
Our big turkey day meal will be small and good, lots of homemade dishes and some couch time!

Morning all!

Wow Ryan, you are in CA right? You are up SUPER early :p

I am just going to admit it now, I am not up on the whole music scene. Other than being forced to watch the country award shows, I have no idea who most performers are :p. And am about as clueless on Gangnam style as it gets.

Morning folks! Haha Anti, I am with you on that one. I am really not at all into the music scene. I had to google Gangnam style, lol. Admittedly, we listen to talk radio in the car almost all the time, I forget their is music in that radio as well. Happy thanksgiving week all!

There are far worse songs. I DARE you to listen to this one. ;)
If you thought Rebecca Black's Friday was bad, this one will have you reaching for a knife in no time.

Wow... I am not even sure what to say about that one.... Oye.

And yeah in CA and up early, might as well get some work done... Computer client stuff and packing some of the misc stuff from before my wife and I were together... Separating duplicates, etc.

I used to listen to a lot of NPR when I lived in KS and didn't have a tv. They had some great shows out of the Kansas City station. There's quite a few broadcasted out of WAMU here in DC as well.

"mornin fools! :p

I didn't watch a single second of the Stillers game last night. Guess I missed an awesome show.

@ Halon, was in Altoona on Saturday doing some insuance claims. Dood, here's a trip down memory lane. Back in the days, like early 90's we used to drive out there to a place called Kids Mountain to ride in the skateboard park. I loved that place, and it's not there anymore. I checked on Saturday, it's gone, LOL. :p

Good morning everyone - finally back in the office with my regular commute.

Thanks again for all the congrats, really means a lot. We are both truly excited as well as both of our families. Our thinking is Fall 2014 for a date and that gives us some time to plan as well as time to get ready & save for everything. I'm sure it will be overwhelming, but fun at the same time.

Congrats to BB & Anti as well for your well-deserved promotions. Hats off to you two!

Stigy, have thoughts on a location yet? Don't know if you're from NY or not, but I can't imagine a better spot than somewhere upstate NY in the fall being better for a wedding. :)

I noticed that song in an article the last week and watched it. It is really bad also!

I don't listen to the radio unless I have my nieces or nephew with me. My mp3 player is always plugged in. I used to listen to talk radio a lot: Mike n Mike in the Morning, Bob and Tom, Colin Cowherd, Rush Limbaugh

I never thought someone from the forums would be in Altoona? Such a wonderful city! LOL I would rather be in Pittsburgh. It would be nice to get transferred there but with company stock going down recently mostly because of coal I wouldn't have as much protection under me in Pittsburgh as I do here and by that I mean the number of people that hired after me; the more the better. I still want to see if it is possible to transfer.

I can attest to how beautiful it gets here. Though there is a lot here, I know down staters generally don't like to come further north than the Catskills. Niagara falls is probably the most beautiful, but probably too far away.

I grew up in Johnstown, went to Conemaugh Valley HS. Not a far trip when I lived there, now it's about 2 hours.

I feel ya on the job front, much more out this way, but with seniority, I'd stay put until absolutely necessary. Plus Altoona has a little slower pace than the Burgh. ;)

If I find myself headed out that way agauin, I'll shoot you a PM. :)

There are some places by us in Northern NJ that get absolutely beautiful during the fall. This place we pass all the time and its gorgeous but I think it may be very pricey.

I went to school at the CIA in Hyde Park and absolutely loved it there in the fall (we also have family up in Columbia County). New Paltz, Rhinebeck (where Chelsea Clinton got married) and Great Barrington, MA would all be great locations. :)

Don't take this personal but I consider Johnstown a garbage dump. :D

I went to culinary school in Pittsburgh right out of high school back in 95 and 96. The one located on Liberty Ave that you can look in to and watch. I fell in love with Pittsburgh then and never should have left.

Stigy, consider an out of area location. We got married in NC which was SO much cheaper than anywhere in the DC metro area. This was the site:
The Fields at Blackberry Cove
We had an outstanding time and the site manager was AMAZING in helping us with local vendors and the challenges that the day presented (:cough: no electricity :cough:)
This was our caterer:
Saffron Fine Foods
Food was amazing and very well priced considering how much local ingredients they use (all the meats/veggies).

It looks like I'll have to get up early on Friday to get the S3 at Sam's Club. I'm already not looking forward to it.
