Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

So I had turned off all tweaks, including zip align, reinstalled, still no dice. I am wondering if TiBu is to blame: no I didn't reinstall data, just apps but who knows with batch restore? Even after said batch restore coming from a jbdan clean wipe, installing and reinstalling I am getting the error. I may start from scratch again but am soooo reluctant due to the limited time I have now with family taking a full front seat in my day to day.

I can't say that I am taking the best care of myself due to the amount of time sacrifice required by said family crisis, but I am sated by food and water. Sleep is partially out of the question for now, but I am taking all opportunities. Funny how one shifts behaviors from self to others in such dramatic fashion when it is all on the line. Brings perspective to former behaviors, none of which were reprehensible, though nonetheless had been weighted heavily in my immediate family's favor (Wife and Son).

Even as I type this, on the partiality disfunctional app, I question my time management. I guess we all need ME time, even in tough and unimaginable circumstances; it just feels difficult to find the proper justification when my heart is so heavy with the desire to go above my expected/potential ability.

I can see my wife beginning to understand the importance this place has in my life. While I operate with cautious openness, you all are no doubt an outlet I need so very much. So if I have to get into my PM inbox via browser then so be it; se la vi. For my sister-in-law, LIFE is sooooooooooo much more complicated.

/Thoughts.

Questioning time management is human. We all could manage it better and in more constructive ways. Those who think they are doing a perfect job of it are only kidding themselves. The key to this is not to feel any guilt (bad bad), but rather conviction (healthy healthy).

We love your participation here, but you have priorities. There in lies choices. What a lot of life is about. I know you will make the the right ones for you. It shows and is evident through your posts. A certain special kind of 'je ne sais quoi' about you :D

We'll miss you if you have to take a break, but it's understood. Be with the Fam! You'll be back!

/my thoughts anyways/

Some fun reading, at least for BB would be the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands. Vampires with a rather interesting twist and just enough s*# to keep you happy. Plenty of humor too which I like.

Is my cat cute, or what?

It's the oddest thing, he loves rolling on his back, but if anyone ever tries to touch his tummy, he freaks out and tries to bite. It's almost disappointing, his tummy is so soft and inviting-looking! But I never get to pet it. :(

Miss you guys.

Razor...isn't it a shame that Comcast isn't supported, though, I could have sworn I read an article a couple weeks back about Comcast getting compatibility for this...I will research.

Blkblt...sorry about the kernel...I know you will get it.

BB...I like to Bork...cousin of spork.

Jb...how tempted are you to run Lou's RR?

Early...I am loving the thread about Microsoft and their BS reasoning for a more secure computer... Linux FTW!

Where the heck is Steven?

Has anyone seen our beloved Bloodsucker?

Seriously though you all....family crisis started at 5a PST on Monday and I have work/family helpered most of the time since then with just 14 total hours of sleep.

Thanks for everything you all do...

jmar

Glad you're enjoying the various Linux threads. Helps keeping your head screwed on right to flock with birds of a feather. ;)

Steven has had another round of woes with his new computer but will be back to his active self soon.

We have added new staff and your pal and mine, The Friendly Undead, has been happening behind the scenes training others on how to extract all of the red corpuscles from the veins of spammers.

Neither of those cats have abandoned anyone here. :) ;)

Meanwhile jmar, you do what you gotta, and if the walls close in, click on my name, send me a private message and we'll chat.

And that goes for all my muchachas and muchachos here! ;)

Hey guys. What happened to Han? He went on his ski trip and we never saw him again. Now his profile is "guest."

Something go down that I don't know about? Are we allowed to even discuss?

Wowsers!

It's true, he is now a Guest in our system.

The only way for that to happen is when a member goes straight to Phases and asks for an account removal. Whatever transpired over that was kept private, I found out by you asking.

Let's hope it's some sort of sabbatical and that all is well.

PS - always ok to ask questions. Sometimes like here I don't know, and other times we may have to stand behind member privacy, but it's always ok to ask. :)

Wild. My only guess is he returned his Nexus for a Razr and didn't want to admit it, killing all his Android cred ;)

First off, cats are never cute...ever, lol.

Second... something happened to Han??? WOW! Never noticed...hope everything is ok!

Third....got my Ubuntu re-installed after I borked up the first one. Got Java JDK on it and the Android SDK...now...it appears I've still got a lot of reading and setup STILL left to do in order to start building ROMs and kernels. Man...never dreamed it would be this difficult to even get started. Guess it didn't help that I had no familiarity with linux beforehand and still don't really know what I'm doing in the terminal other than typing what webpages tell me to. Pretty frustrating that all those years of coding/programming classes haven't helped me at all so far, lol.

Yeah it should. Even though I'm a fairly new Chrome user, doesn't everything backup with your Google account assuming you sign in when using Chrome

It has been six weeks we had the Nexus and I am glad that I had the patience for waiting to get this phone.
As time goes on it should even get better. I do not see any other phone in the near future that VZW will release with ICS on it.:)

The only problem that I have is it will lock up and reboot about twice a week. This only seems to happen when i am doing something on the home screen. OH! the reboot issue started about 3 weeks ago.
I wonder if Nova may have something to do with it.

Random reboots seem to be a problem with a lot of Nexus users, including me. I get them every day or two. Lots of posts a few days ago on major blogs about the issue; apparently Google is aware of the problem and is working on a fix of some sort.

*knock on wood* my phone barely reboots at all.
