Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Okay Gnexers, I need your help.

All ROMs, stock, everybody: Please remove your earbuds/headphones and start your music player. You will, naturally, have music playing from your speaker.

But put your finger over the speaker and hold the phone to your ear.

Can you hear music coming out of the earpiece?

I ask because on Xenon 4 I CAN. On two different Nexi. It's new to me since I use Bluetooth, but I don't know if it's ROM-specific or a systemic issue with the Nexus. Your response will tell me just that.

Just tell me what ROM / stock version you're on.

Thanks! :)

On the same ROM. Don't know if I have any music loaded (I stream everything), but I'll give it a shot. Do you notice it with YouTube as well?
Okay, so on YouTube, it "does" this. Problem is, I'm feeling feedback in the back speaker from my finger so I don't know if it's playing on both and I'm just not noticing the earpiece or not. Can't imagine there's any ROM specific tweak involved. There's no proximity sensor.

Can you flash TWRP in CWM recovery?

Easiest way is download Goo.Manager (it's free) and flash it from there. What you need to do is hit "Flash ROMs" and it'll prompt you to flash TW recovery. Go ahead and let it download and it'll take a sec (may reboot) and it'll be flashed.
Keep in mind your backups can't be interchangeable. Love TW, use it everywhere now as I feel like updates to CWM are messing with my devices.

I'm looking at this

Waiting a few seconds and downloading. Guess a new nandroid is in order now :D

Looks like I bricked it.

EDIT: maybe not. But I had to pull the battery.

Once you get into TW (which I hope you're successful in) make a backup first. Let us know if you have any issues. Took me a bit with my N7 this afternoon once I dumped CWM.

Oh heck, I back up everything... doesn't hurt :)

BTW Xenon 5.0 dropped! In my Dropbox momentarily! :D

EDIT: MD5s are not matching... waiting for this to be clarified...

I am on AOKP P6 and I tried it. I could totally hear it through the earpiece. I think sound redirects through the phone. Who knows?

Meanwhile, the Great White goes for $500 and offers a 9.5-inch display, Android 4.0, a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.

Sounds good, right? What if I told you Soulja Boys face is plastered on the back of the tablet?

They even make a phone.

US I believe (but this was just qualifying). Everyone is just talking about Phelps losing (and not even medaling) to Lochte who got gold for the 400 IM.
