Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Perhaps you're using a bad app. Which one are you trying, exactly?

I use ScanLife and have never had issues like what you describe.

I was looking to use MtGoxMobile but have tried every scanner app I can find to see if it were the app or scanner. It appears to be the scanner. ScanLife isn't compatible with the google n7.. Thanks though.

Already had that app installed so no luck. Maybe I just got a defective tablet?

Hmmm. I will try a barcode app and get back to you as soon as I can. Getting ready to go to bed. Night y'all!

Edit: I tried downloading Barcode Scanner from the market but got the "incompatible" message. At a loss. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I'm assuming that these apps are coded to ONLY use a rear facing camera which is why they're not compatible. I just looked at a few of them and either they're not compatible or they don't work right.

Morning everyone! Have the whole weekend off this weekend. :) Heading out to WV for a family reunion of sorts. Should be fun.

Long time no see NJ! Welcome back. :)
Thanks. Still super busy with life and everything. Amazing how things creep up on you.

Welcome back NJ! Hope traveling was fun!
Business travel, not quite as fun. Working 18hr days 6 days a week gets old sometimes.

Welcome back NJ, I guess. You must be from before my time in this thread.
Probably.

Good seeing you again, NJ! :)
You too Early.

TGIF folks...have the day off from Jury Duty, but that means I have to go to my regular day job....kinda feeling disconnected a little from RL, so this should help a little.
Been an interesting week so far, but ready for it to be over......

Everyone make sure to watch that space-age hair fashions of 1962 video. High-larious.

EDIT: I don't think I've said this yet, welcome back nj02vette :)

Excited for the weekend because I'll find out if I get the dog I want. One landlord is okay with it even though it goes against their insurance. The girl fostering it has to talk her brother(the other landlord) into it. I had to turn down going to the Steeler game on Sunday because I won't know if I'm allowed to have it until tomorrow or Sunday. It will be upsetting if he says no but I'll understand if he does.

Good luck with the pooch halon.

We'll keep our fingers crossed for you halon :)

This weekend has been great already - we got our brand new queen bed this morning! We got a great deal from Sears, the bed was normally priced around two grand, but with various discounts they were running and a special tax-free holiday weekend (something Massachusetts does annually), we got the mattress, boxspring, and bedframe all for about $950. The delivery guys brought in everything we needed, set it all up, and took our old bed away all for free. Can't say enough about how nice, efficient, and professional they were. I've also got a job interview today, so I'm looking forward to that :)

Unfortunately, we don't even get to sleep on the bed! After work we're going up to New Hampshire for the weekend with the gf's family to their lake house. Going to be a great weekend with food and fun, and then Sunday will be the best sleep ever on the new bed.

And VZW lights up Pittsfield, MA. c'mon, stretch more than 3 miles out of Worcester and I would be golden.

Hey, some of us Hilltown folk enjoy the use of that there blazin' fast internets when we make our monthly trip down into the city to go to the Walmart and such. :D

For those of you that don't know, that part of Mass can be pretty remote compared to the rest of the state. I lived 25 miles (an hour bus ride) from my high school growing up. Even by car, the mall was 45min and the grocery store was 20min. Most of my family still lives up there, so I'm up there on weekends a lot. I'll have to see how far the signal makes it out into the mountains. 4G at my parent's house would be awesome.

I hesitated venting on that because I didn't want to offend anyone from Western Mass. You know the saying, the state ends at 495. I'm west of that too.

Ha ha, no big deal. There's no offence taken. I checked the coverage map, though..... It doesn't look like I'll be lucky enough to have 4G at the house. Oh well, soon enough. They're not too far from the Turnpike so I'm hoping it shouldn't be too much longer.

So you must have seen the coverage map I posted. All around me, but no joy at work or home. Hey, just noticed your post count, welcome to posting and to the Watering Hole.:)

Looks like you joined a month before I did. Believe it or not, I didn't have my second post here until January of this year after I got my GNex.:D
