Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Yeah, that's a great deal for those in the market for one. My TV does all the Amazon Instant and Netflix stuff, so I won't need one with the apps. I actually am looking to sell my PS3 and get a cheaper blu-ray player to replace it though.

Someone tell me how stupid I am. :o I went on that lunch date the other day and we've talked some before that and after. She went to Ohio for the weekend. Well I'm at work last night she sends me a text...everyone is asking me if I'm dating anyone? I thought a second...sure why not. I don't date much so I just went with it. So I tell her...yeah, we're dating. I was content with that. Then two minutes later I get...so does that make me your girlfriend? In my head I'm...are you freaking nuts! I barely know you! Now I'm the go with the flow kinda person, laid back, likes weird and crazy. Hell, I woke up one day a little over 3 years ago and decided my life needed to go into a new direction and took up welding. I never welded a day in my life and now I work on locomotives. If someone told me that 4 years ago I would have laughed. Anyways, back to the text. I was thinking this is completely stupid. Is she serious? So I told her...yeah, I'll go with that. I now have a girlfriend that I've only been in the presence of for 2 hours. I can't blame it on her being 6 years younger than me(29 to my 35) because she does have a 6 year old girl so I expect some maturity. I've done a lot weird and crazy things. This is just...I don't know what to make of it?

Halon, maturity brings a different sense of reality when dating. I met Pam at a bar the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I was going away for the weekend so we had our first date on Tuesday. It was pizza and a Disney movie with her two sons. The connection was immediate for both of us. This may or may not be accurate in your case. I just find that as we move farther away from high school / college pettiness and norms, we know what qualities we really want in a partner.

Whelp, no store is showing the Chromebook in stock and the Play Store has apparently sold out after one day! I'll give BB and Staples a shot though.

Blu-Ray with wifi is a great deal at $50... but if I may make a recommendation:

If you're going to buy a Blu-ray player, buy 3D. Even if you don't have a 3D system... YET. You'll have expansion and future-proofing built in. Just friendly advice. But if you have $50 to throw, by all means: throw it at this deal :D

As much as I love seeing SOME moves in 3D at the theater, I just don't see it being a home theater staple (yet!). But, I agree, as much future proofing you can do with your tech, the better.

At my favorite haunt and a few guys who showed up are huge Android geeks. Awesome! One with a Razr M and one with an HD. Saw my N7 and knew exactly what it was. Love it. :D

The brilliance of Apple....retina display, 2560 x 1600 on 13" MBP...21" 1920 x 1080 and 27" 2560 x 1440 displays on the iMac. Sure, put tons of pixels on a 13" but a 21"...just leave it as is. Photographer don't need pixels on a 13", they do on the 21" and 27"

All this talk about education use...wife's school got iPads for all teachers this year but told them they were responsible for them and couldn't use classroom money to buy cases. Teachers don't even like them...they use them for personal use, but don't know how to incorporate them into classroom and are afraid to anyway because they would have to replace or pay for the repair if a student damaged it.

Fail on screen size and resolution. Fail on bezel design...where do you hold the thing!?

WHAT???

Schiller says: Others have tried to make smaller tablets, but they've failed. Example, and Android tablet -- the Galaxy Nexus 7

They'll regret not making the bezel a little bigger so people can grab it on the sides.

Pricing fail: Starts at 16GB of storage Wi-Fi @ $329

Not surprised at all about the price. They had to find a price between the iPad and iPod Touch so $329 seems "okay". Still too much for me (not that I'd ever buy it), but not SO bad.

Price is a bit too high honestly and that N7 comparison was lame. The resolution on the N7 is higher but you pay more for the iPad mini.

I give it a "meh".

Didn't see the stats on the mini, but it's really lower than the N7?
The browser test was hilarious showing how much more content you could see. Well, duh, it's a matter of screen size. One is larger than the other. :)

But there is a picture of a partially eaten fruit on the other one, that must make it superior.;)
