Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Nah, I won't be leaving. My wife would kill me if I spent another dime on electronics. If I was going to spend another $400, I think I'd get a N10 anyway.

I thought about the DNA. The Note 2 has 3100mah battery and the DNA has a 2100mah battery, I just can't see it lasting very long. AND it is non removable.

I think the note is probably a better choice for battery life. BUT, having LTE on the SOC is totally different than the setups we run now, might do big things for battery.

Morning all - back in the office today.

Received an email from my boss asking me to stop in today. I know there are a bunch of layoffs going on and I am not sure whether or not to be concerned.

My mood might change drastically at 1:30PM today - but hoping for the best.

Yeah, the Note 2 looks pretty sweet too, and who knows how nice having that S-Pen would be... Plus no storage worries either for the Note 2... But the Note 2 I would wait a while to see the verdict on radios. If they are the same as the S3, not gonna work for me.

Stigy - good luck man, I hate that feeling, hopefully its something else!

Praying it goes well for you Stig!

BTW loaded Ubuntu 12.10 on my 6-year old laptop and it runs like a champ. Trying to setup Eclipse so I can do app development on the go and sync via GIT, but setting up two instances of Eclipse with the same settings is becoming quite the task.

Indeed. It took me several days of working on it off and on to get my development workspace set up on my desktop and laptop and have it the same. I don't sync on GIT though, never tried it and wouldn't have a clue how to...probably should learn though.

BTW...had a horrible nightmare last night and I just remembered it... I dreamed I went and bought and iPhone 5! *shudder* THE HORROR!!!

So all is well - no layoff. Just being moved into a different group with new (and more) responsibilities and challenges along the way.

Definitely an exciting experience and in my mind a mini-promotion (without title, etc).

Congrats Stig! Shows your boss has confidence in you! I'm sure if you perform in this new role a promotion will soon follow :)
