Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Had some excitement in our town of 1,500 people yesterday. One of our banks was robbed. The guy has robbed like 6 different banks in a 60 or so mile radius and they have his face clear as day on camera multiple times, yet can't seem to catch him. Doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to me.
 
<--- Watched the Polar Express in 3D last night. All I can say is WOW. It was simply jaw-dropping... I literally sat there in gob-smacked amazement during half the movie.

Good morning all & happy hump day. Headed down to Tampa on Friday for the weekend to visit my dad, pretty excited about that. Get away from the cold for a bit.

Mmmmm cinnamon raisin bagel w/ cream cheese this morning - perfect.

Went to see that in IMAX several years ago. When that train comes skidding to a stop, it looked like the point was right in my face! Amazing 3D in that movie!

Oh and Chief, the robber is the same one that got a bank in Pulaski a few days ago!

I was a skeptic and my wife was a big time skeptic, we both love it now!

Anti, once she LOOKS through those 1oz glasses and sees it for the first time, she'll be sold. It just puts you IN the movie... especially with a home theater system putting sound everywhere.

So tell her it's okay, I was a skeptic too until I got one. You have to peel it out of my fingers now... and more 3D content comes out all the time :)
 
My Vizio 42" is a few years old, but right now I have no plans to upgrade until I get into a house. When I do though I will be getting a new TV, receiver, bookshelf speakers for the wall, maybe some behind me for surround sound and then moving the soundbar to another TV or using it alongside the other speakers. I absolutely love my sound bar though - it does double duty for my TV and for my record player. Definitely one of my favorite purchases.

BTW also got this little feature of my app working yesterday. So inside the settings of my app (V3) you can click to buy "In App Purchases" to remove the advertisements or to go full pro and unlock the full database. Well there is currently no method to get the price of the items and sometimes I want to put them on sale and have the app reflect the sale price and notify users that its on sale (more incentive to buy). So what I did was host a txt file on my web server and have my app parse the txt file and convert its text to prices if they are different than my standard prices, then replace the price in the app with the current "sale price" - its really neat to see it work and so easy to make sure all my users have the latest information about the prices of in-app purchases. If you can't tell - I am really, really excited.

Hello all, checking in for the first time today. I have a much larger appreciation for everything the staff does around here now that I'm getting my first taste. I'm loving every minute of it though.

It's also snowing again today, 4th time in 6 days, but still no accumulation anywhere. Aww, life in the snowbelt.
 
Just flashed JB 10.3 which is 4.2.1 - so far so good.

Definitely missing some of the mods from CNA, etc but if its faster I may stick with it. Not sure if it will last on my phone with all the tinkering I do and how quick TiBu restores my stuff so only time will tell. There are those WillyJay mods that are talked about in the JB threads so gotta look into those as well.

So far 4.2 is definitely nice and fast though.

Hi All. Hope your hump day was as busy as ours... At least my wife got the first half (SSA) of her name change done... Gonna wait till we get to TX to do license.
Our tv got rescheduled for Monday delivery.. Oh well... But we just realized today that it's exactly a month from today when we pack the truck to head away from California.. Oye coming up soon!

Ryan, wife still hasn't decided if she'll change her name. I'm cool with whatever she wants to do. Frustrates some people though and it was funny when we get mail for Mr and Mrs ... :)
 
Morning all! Busy day ahead for me. Only two weeks left of work for the year for me! And each week we have a christmas party at work. :D So, anyone win the powerball? My wife played, I told her not to, and I was vindicated, she didn't get even one number :rolleyes:
 
Morning folks! Still a bit under the weather here, but pushing through it. Unless something comes up, this will be the first full weekend I've had in 6 weeks or so! I'm really looking forward to sleeping in Saturday!
 
Today is my Friday - heading to Florida for the weekend tomorrow to visit my Dad. Glad to get away from the cold for a bit.

There is a huge stupid glitch on United's website though where if you use the prefix Mr./Mrs. when purchasing your ticket it appends it to the end of your name. So my name reads "MatthewMR Donders" - they said they get the call 20x a day and security lets them through. But what a horrible system - someone really needs to fix that. Eek.
