Today is my Friday - heading to Florida for the weekend tomorrow to visit my Dad. Glad to get away from the cold for a bit.

There is a huge stupid glitch on United's website though where if you use the prefix Mr./Mrs. when purchasing your ticket it appends it to the end of your name. So my name reads "MatthewMR Donders" - they said they get the call 20x a day and security lets them through. But what a horrible system - someone really needs to fix that. Eek.

Wow...would seem like an easy fix. Speaking of flights, wife and I booked a trip to Denver in January last night and our reward points paid for it completely! We signed up and got the bonus miles and then took our trip to CA this summer earning us a few more points and with those two things only, we paid for both round trip tickets to Denver and back! :D Time to cut up the credit card now, lol.

Is there a choice to not use a prefix? Personally, I hate thinking of myself as a "Mr." :dontknow:

Anyway, enjoy Florida!

Have you guys seen some of the mods they're doing to the N7 over at XDA? Specifically the drone flyers. They're adding some crazy wifi antennas to them and getting insane Wifi coverage.

You have a link? I'd like to check it out.

Yeah every day for me is a 12 hour day if you count commute. 6 days a week too. :p Gonna be like this for the next three years too!

Ouch, that's rough. Mine doesn't count commute, but it's only on Tuesdays and Thursdays because of the way my schedule works out. The other 3 weekdays is relatively light by comparison.

Yeah, it sounds rough, and then I remember my wife is at home with a 5, 4, and 22 month old for that entire time. I have it easy! :p

Stay at home mom with three kids? I really love being with my kids, but I don't think that's a job I could endure 24/7/365.

A disadvantage of my job is the time away from home. The advantage is when I'm home I'm there for every field trip and bake sale.

Speaking of work. My copilot on my last flight from Amsterdam sent me these pictures of us taxing and the runway before I took off.

Morning Dread! No plans for me. Except work I guess.

We are contemplating taking our Christmas ornaments down, our youngest is decimating them has broken 8 already. And when we tried putting them out of his reach, he just starts pulling on the branches. kids.

Morning all :) Weekend plans consist of putting up the tree, the lady has been getting into the Xmas spirit and is ready to get everything started. While this means that I'll be lambasted with holiday music from now until January, it also means lots of cookies, so I'm okay with it. :p

Also, big news that I wanted to share with you all: I found out recently that I was accepted for a Birthright Israel trip in January; basically, the state of Israel pays for non-Israeli Jews to come to Israel for ten days and see the major sights and get a taste of Israeli culture. There was a long application process, and unfortunately only a small portion of applicants can go because of the relatively small number of spots open on each trip, but I think I was picked because I'm close to aging out of the program -- you can only apply from ages 18 to 26.

I know it might not be the absolute smartest time to be going there, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. They assure us that the programs are in touch with Israeli authorities constantly, there are GPS trackers and medics on our buses, and we won't even be going near Gaza in the first place. Our guides recently emailed the whole trip roster, saying that they've been to Israel several times and have always felt totally safe. So, I'm really excited! I'll be gone from January 2-12, so needless to say, I most likely will not be posting during that period. We'll be going to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the Golan Heights, the Negev Desert (where we'll ride camels and spend a night sleeping in Bedouin tents), float in the Dead Sea, and lots of other stuff!

50th birthday party tonight, going to get the Christmas tree tomorrow, something tomorrow afternoon but damned if I can remember, and then a baptism on Sunday. Busy, busy, busy.

Good morning everybody and Happy Friday!

Holy Smokes, I've ever seen this place so Christmas-y. My Darling Bride and her sister have decked the halls with every conceivable decoration, but it's done quite tastefully. Of course I'm already dreading taking it all DOWN after January 1st

Anyway, our little town has its annual parade tonight. We're in position 70 out of 85 so it could take AWHILE. But being in the parade is fun, so off we go :)

Have a great day & weekend!

I guess it's safe to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY PUP? My 50th was in August, so I know how you feel! :D
