Chief, have you seen any battery life increases? It's honestly what I'm after.
Still use the stock battery and wondering if its life has been depleted (I usually keep it on the charger all day long at work). On AOKP now, but it's still terrible.

Gps works, WiFi has much better range and speeds, but connections are still finicky on N band routers.
Dread: have you tried Greenify in Play? I can't give you an objective evaluation of battery life because I have a lot of widgets, push notifications, and an extended battery... IMO anything anyone says about battery life would be entirely subjective, as each person uses their device differently.

Just wanted to let everyone here know that I will be stepping down from AF Staff. Life has taken over with work & my engagement, etc and I just don't devote the time or effort I used to.

Did you have bad lag after a few days use?
My 4.5 was fine for a few days (about a week) and then all of a sudden low memory warnings from Tasker, low RAM in the usage bar and lag while typing.

With 4.5 I had lag. I just flashed 5.0 today. I never thought of checking ram while on 4.5 and just waited for the newest version.

Only reason I saw RAM was because I put it in the recent apps menu.
I wonder if that is causing lag in general, hmm.

Navy Chiefs Are Honorable
One day, while a Navy Chief was cutting a branch of a tree above a river, his axe fell into the river. When he cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, "Why are you crying?" The Chief replied that his axe had fallen into the water, and he needed the axe to make his living. The Lord went down into the water and reappeared with a golden axe. "Is this your axe?" the Lord asked. The Chief replied, "No." The Lord again went down and came up with a silver axe. "Is this your axe?" the lord asked. Again the Chief replied, "No." The Lord went down again and came up with an iron axe. "Is this your axe?" the Lord asked. The Chief replied, "Yes."
The Lord was pleased with the Chief's honesty and gave him all three axes to keep, and the Chief went back to the ship happy.
Sometime later the Chief was walking with his wife along the riverbank, and his wife fell into the river. When he cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked him, "Why are you crying?" "Oh Lord, my wife has fallen into the water!" The Lord went down into the water and came up with Angelina Jolie. "Is this your wife?" the Lord asked. "Yes," cried the Chief.
The Lord was furious. "You lied! That is an untruth!"
The Chief replied, "Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. You see, if I had said 'no' to Angelina Jolie, you would have come up with Cameron Diaz. Then if I said 'no' to her, you would have come up with my wife. Had I then said 'yes' you would have given me all three. Lord, I am poor old seagoing Chief, and am not able to take care of all three wives in a way that they should be, so that's why I said yes to Angelina Jolie."
The moral of this story is: Whenever a Navy Chief lies, it is for a good and honorable reason, and for the benefit of others. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Hey Guys and Girls how is everyone?
my and my families life were flipped upside down this weekend if any of you all pray include my family
I know there is going to be a very hard and very long fight ahead of us and nothing we can do can change it or make it go away...
this may be my farewell to you guys here as things get worse and bills pile up school and internet wont be high on the list of things to pay...
I wanna say thank you all for the friendship and help that i have received over the years and I hope I helped some along the way
its been fun guys

Is it possible to take my Verizon Galaxy Nexus and move it to sprint?
IN other words, download the sprint ROM from AOKP or whoever and run the phone on the sprint network.
My son has a add a line deal for like 50 bucks that would be cheaper than me moving iton my own.

Back during the beginnings of the American Revolution, the Continental Congress knew that the British would be coming to exact vengeance on the fledgling nation. They had to stand up some defenses in a hurry.
It was a Thursday, I'm not sure of the date, but the Congress voted to create a standing ARMY to prepare for the inevitable war. The votes were cast: the Army was created.
The next day, someone said "You know, we could meet them before they even get here if we had a NAVY," So a day later, the Navy was created (using ships provided by our ally France).
Monday it was brought up that there were some leftovers: the Cavalry and the Marines.
"Where are the horses and Marines gonna go?" they asked. It was agreed that, since the Army was created first, they would get the choice. The Army looked at the horses, the mess, the burden of cleaning and feeding and taking care of them... and then looked at the Marines.
The Army chose the Cavalry. And THAT'S why the Navy got stuck with the Marines.
