I guess I kind of understand, you will sound different based on what input device you use. So while you may be annoyed you can't switch, you may be even more annoyed at how bad it instantly became at dictation. Can you just have one remote profile, and one microphone profile?

So got a semi-official diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea today...
Kinda freaked out. Better now.
Anyways new appointment this Saturday night. Adjusting a new Cpap machine to my breathing... And some more info then.

New vapor "cig" helping to quit. Went from over a pack and a half to 4 cigs a day in less than 4 days... Tomorrow the goal is 0!

My grandfather had terrible sleep apnea. I stayed in a room with him once for my brother's graduation. He would snore and then stop breathing several times. I could sleep at all; just waiting for him to start again. It's scary for sure. My father in law is on either meds or a machine for breathing assistance as well. Can't imagine what it's like to deal with that.

Ah, as BB said, kicking the smoking habit is never fun but best of luck! One of the best health decisions you can make. :)

In keeping with my trip to Australia lately. I learned that a pack of smokes cost from 15-20$ a pack...in addition to that. They put gross cancer pics on every pack of cigs and just barely put the brand name on the pack.

I remember when I was in Europe, packs had all kinds of crazy sayings and pics on them. Usually just a huge sticker that'd say "Smoking Kills" (in whatever language it was).
Didn't they just sort of start doing that here in the states not too long ago?

Good morning Anti!

As far as Dragon goes: I suppose you can have multiple profiles per input device... just not multiple input devices per profile. Which IMHO is utterly ridiculous. Such an easy programming fix, and Nuance was just being snotty about it. No, I was (and still am) frustrated that I trained Dragon with the Remote Microphone, which doesn't work more often than it does... now I have to train Dragon all over again just to switch inputs. Stupid.

Good to hear you have a diagnosis Ryan! Now that you know what it is, it's very treatable. I've heard really good results from the cpap machine....maybe a bit odd sleeping with it at first but I'm sure you'll get use to it and start sleeping better very soon!

My son has been accepted and has a seat at Tennessee Technology Center, where he'll spend 20 months studying Computer Information Technology and getting his certifications... and the VA is paying for the WHOLE THING! :D :D :D

BOO HOO!

He's living with US for the next 20 months! We're trying to sprint into this whole empty nest thing... and kids seem to be harder to get rid of than a bad cold :p
 
Congrats Chief!! That's great news. Except the not so empty nest. Although at least he never left....I left my parents, then got divorced and went back +1!!!! See, it could be worse. :D
