@Chief: that electric razor looks great, but $230??? Wow.

Yep. With a list price of $350, I decided to try it... thinking that if I didn't like it I could send it back. I don't like it: I LOVE IT. Yes it's expensive, but sometimes you just gotta indulge yourself and go all out. This was one of those occasions for me :)

Personally, I think hairy men are hot:rolleyes:

<------ "Hot" but in a neat & tidy sort of way :p

So on a totally unrelated topic I would like to bring up a discussion that I have been wondering about -- men, do you prefer to use an electric razor or a hand razor (Gillette fusion, etc)?

I have been using a hand razor since I started shaving with a few months of an old electric razor someone had bought me and I remember it being awesome and much easier and convenient to shave with one.

Do you prefer one over the other and why?

I've tried multiple electric razors over the years, but never could find one that could shave as close as a razor with my heavy beard. Back in my cadet days at the Air Force Academy I had an upper classman asked if I had shaved that morning.

"YES SIR!"
" Well next time, STEP CLOSER TO THE RAZOR MAGGOT!!!"

Yeah, I don't have much luck with electrics.

Some things in life you just shouldn't skimp out on. Razors and toilet paper are two of those :D Eventhough I use a manual razor, it's one of the more expensive ones, and it's well worth it. Same goes for electric. When I did use one, the cheap ones just didn't cut it. The one nice one I bought was really good but after several years of use it finally gave up.

In the end, over the life of the products, you probably spend about the same amount on that razor you got, Chief, and my plain old Gillette Fusion ProGlide. Over 5 years, I'm sure I'll have spent well over what you paid for that one in replacement blades. I'm sure that should last you a good 5 years.

Morning y'all.

Razor: Fusion Pro Glide. How do keep cost down: Don't shave :p:D;)

So last night was Cooper's second night without a bottle. Forgot to mention that he slept through the night the first night without a bottle and did so last night. He has rarely slept through the night ever. Soooo glad we are doing this. Less crying at bedtime last night as well over the previous night. All in all, good stuff. Thanks for letting me share.

Not shaving is actually my technique when I'm not flying. When I'm off for more than a couple days I use a trimmer to maintain the "stubble" look.

Congratulations with the progress with Cooper!

I'm almost always a little stubbly, and if I have a few days off (weekends) I tend to forgo shaving. I've been tempted a few times to trim the edges and grow a beard, but Pam is opposed.

I've always wanted to grow mine out, but every time I get driven crazy by the itchiness of it and end up shaving it off.

lol, maybe I'll photo my beard progress as I should be pretty scruffed up by Sunday, see how long it is until I'm relegated to the couch.:D
