Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Hey Nexicans,

So tonight was Cooper's first night without a bottle. He is closing in on 2.5 years old and we feel so bad for him. We know it's the right thing to do for his teeth and for potty training but it was so hard! We are always there for him but we couldn't give in to his cries for a bottle as this is a step for him in his development. It just felt awful. Thought I'd share cos it's weighing on me.

Awwww. That's one of the hardest things to endure but its good that you didn't give in.

Congrats on making it through night one. If you remember one thing as a parent, you said it above when you said " we couldn't give in to his cries...as this is a step for him in his development" you will do an amazing job and raise a self sufficient responsible young man!

Good morning everyone - happy hump day!!

Went to Olive Garden last night for some bread and pasta to celebrate the end of Passover. Boy was it delicious, but it made me realize I probably should cut back on my carb intake (at least complex carbs) because I felt very ehhhh after eating all that last night. Need to do some more research - might even go to the nutritionist my mom and brother go to for a consultation.

Wife got food poisoning last week from olive garden. No more olive garden, lol. I got sick after drinking a Pepsi over 10 years ago. Haven't drank a Pepsi since. Food coming back up kinda ruins it for ya for a while.

Good morning, all.

So I got talked to yesterday by HR. Seems that it was a "concern" because I'm a "repeat offender" when it comes to pranking others in a workplace environment.

But given that I'm leaving on the 12th anyway, they decided not to do anything.

Sheesh. People can't take a joke on April Fools' day?

Now I'm getting dirty looks from some of the women in the office.

You might as well come up with one last prank before you leave.

I did it! 250,000 downloads of my Weight Watchers app.

I hate to toot my own horn, but I never thought I would see the day.

Congrats Stig! I can't imagine that many downloads! Crazy good!

I'm going to cross a milestone myself this month. Granted a much smaller milestone of 5,000 active installs, but a milestone nonetheless :D Honestly, I was excited beyond description when I reached 500, lol. Still showing steady growth.

It's numbers gEEk, I'm guessing there are more people on a diet than teachers.:D

You've got a point there ;) I've only had 6,277 downloads, so at this point I have a 77% retention rate. Seeing about $10/week of ad revenue and showing almost 200,000 ads per rolling month at a 30 second ad refresh rate. :D That's a little over 1,500 hours of use per month amongst the almost 5,000 active installes.

And for those who don't know ....let's wish our own AntimonyER a happy birthday!!!! Hope its a good one!!!!

Happy birthday Anti!

Congrats to you as well - glad to see so many people using your app. That's great!

Hate to double post, but you're right its all numbers.

I have 71,317 active installs for a total retention rate of just 29% which is not great at all. BUT I showed 1.2 million ads last month at 30 second refresh rate.

It seems the key to apps is getting a decent amount of people to use it multiple times a day.

So on a totally unrelated topic I would like to bring up a discussion that I have been wondering about -- men, do you prefer to use an electric razor or a hand razor (Gillette fusion, etc)?

I have been using a hand razor since I started shaving with a few months of an old electric razor someone had bought me and I remember it being awesome and much easier and convenient to shave with one.

Do you prefer one over the other and why?
