Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

I did change almost every settings per Touchdown, still no luck there.

I am able to set up the native email client on the phone, so I believe I have a backup just in case.

I tried dumping touchdown out of accounts, but when I try to recreate a new touchdown account, I'm getting the dreaded, "unfortunately settings has stopped"

arrrghh.

Thanks for the reply Ihatemytreo.

Guess I have to bug Touchdown for some loving.

I think I'll take it a step further, and upgrade my OS to AOKP's latest released last week.

I am currently on 4.2.1 and it's the worst "phone" i've had in 20 years. In areas I've had service for years, it flat won't work.

Since I have to basically start over with Touchdown, and I have done it before, I think I'll try new base software to see if that cheers up the phone some.

Running a nandroid per Chief's write ups as we speak, and start over.

Not sure why the OS won't let me add the Touchdown account under account settings.

I'm starting here
Milestones, nightlies, and millions! | AOKP

flash the new OS, then flash the gapps, but I don't see anything about new radios. Are they included in gapps?

Thank you.

Afternoon everyone! Well some unfortunate news when we got home from church. Our neighbor two houses down had their car stolen out of their driveway last night. To make matters worse it's just her as her husband is in Afghanistan. AND she's pregnant. Criminals suck.

Well, not as bad as getting your car stolen, but spring kind of unsprung today... guess the summer wardrobe has to stay on the shelf.

^^ ugh!!!!! I would cry if I woke up to that at this point.

Anti - sorry to hear about your neighbor. That is horrible.

Hi everyone!!

Stats of today's run before my dog (rescue mutt) decided to lay down and say "no more." IMO, not bad considering doggie potty breaks, traffic lights and having to calm her down every time someone went by on a bike or when a bird flew in front of her.

What app is that?

How did you get home?

I think I'm halfway home with one hitch. In order to run Titanium "Restore Missing Apps + System Data" i have enabled Settings-Security-check unknown Sources Box.

I downloaded my pro license from themarket, Then when I open titanium, and click the check box at the top, and scroll down to Restore missing apps + all System data, I don't see any check box, to click GO. If I click the green arrow, it flashes in one second and gives me the notification Titanium backup pro - Batch restore Finished.

But I don't think it restores anything. My main screen still is missing icons, or does this take a half hour for it to restore things? the phone "desktop" is still empty, no icons there.

I just re-read Chief's notes. Is a Reboot required for the "restore" to start working?

A restore will take far longer than one second. SOMETHING happened. It looks to me like no apps or data backed up :(

And MAKE SURE that you do NOT restore system elements in a new ROM other than the ones listed in my Guide - you WILL have problems!

But to answer your question, yes. Always reboot after a titanium restore.

I am not getting it to work

I hooked it up and spent time pointing in various directions. The first few times I was only getting some kind of independent channel with some guy speaking an Asian language and some lady translating. It turns out he was talking about religion. So I pointed in a new direction and it picked up the local CBS in HD. The only problem is the signal isn't reliable, sadly. According to antennapoint dot com I should be able to at least pick up CBS, ABC and probably NBC and FOX. But I'm only getting CBS. My other problem is I have a freaking mountain right across the road that is more than likely blocking signal. I so hate central PA and all these damn mountains!

I guess it's back to getting my stuff off the internet.

Yes, but I am not sure how to get it.

I'm running in Demo Mode Right now from the Market.

I downloaded the HD Version, which says for ICS and Jelly bean but I'm wondering if that is tablet onlv version

If I go into TiBU, it has an option under menu, special backup /restore
Restore Data from xml
Extract from Nandroid Backup, which I made before wiping
Extract from ADB Backup

Anybody ever try the extract from Nandroid?

Adjuster, wipe the phone, restore the nandroid backup and run TiBU again. Something didn't back up. Do you have the Pro key?

You couldn't just install the operating system back onto it?

Morning folks!
Would ya'll advise a complete wipe going from AOKP Build 6 to MR1?
Just put it on my N7, considering it on my Gnex which is running just fine on B6.

Oh geez...Lord help me. A co-worker just brought his brand new Note 8.0 in. Gadget envy setting in.

Took it for a test drive. Very snappy performance. Good looking screen. Handwriting to text works darn near flawlessly.
