Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Oh geez...Lord help me. A co-worker just brought his brand new Note 8.0 in. Gadget envy setting in.

Do you know if they're in Best Buy yet? May go play around with one tomorrow if so. I don't know, just updated my N7 ROM, and with as little I play with it, the Note 8.0 isn't tempting one bit. Plus, most reviews still say the N7 is a better buy. (stylus is sweet though)

No doubt the N7 is a better buy, but the stylus functionality is awesome. I love the handwriting to text functionality.

I don't see much reason to get a Note phone, as I don't think the stylus function would be as practical as it is on the 8. I could really see using the stylus a lot on the 8 and even moreso on the 10.

So when the dentist told me to bite down and grind apparently I didn't move my tongue out of the way. Novacaine is a wonderful thing.

I'll be feeling that in a couple hours.

Went back to the gym today after 3 weeks ...managed to do 3.1 miles in 43 minutes. Can't run for as long but I'll just build back up.

Hope everyone is having a good morning!

Congrats BB! :)
Man, once I get into the new work schedule, I can probably plan on getting back into running. All this bread baking(eating) is starting to show. ;)
Today is my last day working with my chef who was a HUGE influence on my leaving the restaurant. Can't wait until tonight is over. :D

Afternoon everyone! Well some unfortunate news when we got home from church. Our neighbor two houses down had their car stolen out of their driveway last night. To make matters worse it's just her as her husband is in Afghanistan. AND she's pregnant. Criminals suck.

Ouch, that sucks.

Jay! Home :)
Good for you BB. Now, hold on, don't quit. Like i did :o Made a deal with hubby64 to go to the gym again. Every other day, starting next week :)

And you too Dread: stay cool these last couple of hours.
Anything we can do to support you?

(Shot this pic on my way home.)

I've been back at the gym for a few months and I feel incredible.

Here is a great thing to try on the treadmill that is supposedly better than just running at a constant speed. Intervals is the hot new thing and I feel like I get a MUCH better workout.

1 minute @ 3mph, 1 minute @ 5mph, 30 seconds @ 7mph. Rinse and repeat. You can do 2-4-6 if that suits you better.

I did the above on Sunday and I did 2.7 miles in 30 minutes and burned 400 calories according to the treadmill. Based on my readings and research that number is lower because the treadmill doesn't take into account that your heart rate didn't go down during the 1 minute walk and is still burning those calories.

It does get a bit tedious hitting the button over and over again, but well worth it.

I used to do the same on the treadmill Stig. Great workout. I do similar outdoors when I jog as well. The only variance I did to what you said was I did something like 4mph, 5.5, then 7 instead of dropping to 3. 5mph was an awkward speed for me because it wasn't quite a jog but wasn't quite a walk either.

Yeah, I clean flashed it last night. Very snappy. Basically a re-naming of 5.1.9.2 but I like to keep up :)
I've started getting HORRIBLE lag in 5.1 so this is good timing.

Which GApps did you use? I noticed that the ones they link to say "NOPHOTOSPHERE" at the end of the file name.

Those are some bada** Gapps!

For those with unlimited data, you can keep unlimited if you decide you want to pay for the phone over the new 12 month payment option.

Unknown: You may need a Share Everything plan to be eligible, based on the language on Verizon's site. We're waiting on confirmation of this with Verizon. (And no, there is no special service plan rate / discount for those who finance a phone.)

I thought everyone was moved to a Share Everything plan?
We're grandfathered into unlimited with our data (Family Plan) but the bill now says "Share Everything".

I have this deal with Dutch Vodafone for going abroad, which might come in handy for this weekend in Norway. Two euro ($2.60) a day for calling 20 minutes, being called 20 minutes, 20 text messages and 35 mb. Charged only if used.
