Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Hey guys, just checking in!

I bought the new Nexus 7 last Friday and I'm really enjoying being back in the Android fold again. I'm half out with my fruit phone, but I think I'm going to sell my iPad soon because the N7 screen and OS response is awesome.

I'm guessing there are no roms yet for 4.3 tablets but I'm enjoying rediscovering Jelly Bean for now.

Came home to a chromecast in my mailbox! Should go nicely with my new N7!

And finished Dan Brown's newest book, Inferno. It was excellent, btw. Also redid my car loan today. I went from 6% down to 2.5%.

Also going to be testing if BLE works on the Galaxy Nexus tonight. Fingers crossed.

I don't believe there are that many 4.3 ROMs yet honestly due to the root restrictions on zygote processes introduced in 4.3, but there is some stuff out there on XDA.

I have chromecast up and running! I made a short demo. Sorry, I did the one thing that I usually complain about when people record something with a phone...I didn't hold the phone in landscape :(

Unless I'm not doing something right, I noticed the first time I used Netflix it turned my tv on but when I closed out the app and turned off my tv then went back into Netflix, it did not turn my tv on again. Apparently you have to use a different app or it won't turn on the tv again. I noticed this after I went on youtube, started a video, stopped it, turned off the tv, started Netflix again and it turned the tv on.

Stupid me when I began the setup process for chromecast, I got on my laptop and it told me I had to turn on wifi. I was thinking...wifi is on. I go check my internet...yep, on. Hmmm. I click retry. Same thing. Hmmm. DOH! I forgot my wifi card on my laptop went kaput and I've been running off ethernet cable. :o No problem. I just continued the process with the N7. :)

So both mine came today. Haven't tried the PC yet, but from both the tablet and phone the casting works flawlessly.

I think I will start loading all my phone videos to youtube just to use this. I've already loaded most of my music to Google Music. Also was pleasantly surprised to find a USB port on my wall mounted coby cheap TV... So a clean install. :)

Best part was since I always have my phone nearby, changing videos for the kids from anywhere in the house is quick and easy...

Man, I'm sorry to hear about your watch bread. I had heard rumors it was easy to scratch, so I actually had a screen protector waiting for mine...

Here's how it looks:

Ugh, not sure how to take it going forward. Obviously, it's not capable of day to day wear and tear. Just not sure if I want to bother with a replacement or just a credit.

Holy cow! I'm a klutz and have banged mine around quite a few times with not even a small scratch. I'm wondering if the white is extra soft. That really stinks!

Woah - holy (expletive), mine has been on my wrist consistently for a few months and nothing like that.

Are you on Twitter? PM me - I know the guy that runs their Twitter account (not personally, but they really like me for some reason) and I can hopefully push the process along. That's absolutely insane.

Thanks, Stigy. I'm off work today so I got all day to give em some "feedback".
I could have rubbed it up against something at work, not sure, but this is pathetic. :)

When you see this, shoot @Pebble a mention on Twitter and I'll reply / DM them asking them to take a look and see if they can get your query expedited. Just start the conversation and I will try to push it forward.
