Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Apparently 4.4.1 is suppose to start getting pushed out today, though I'm not sure what else it is suppose to fix other than the Nexus 5 camera.
 
It's rolling out for the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 LTE. It seems like this will align the Nexus program (supported KitKat devices only). Very excited! My service got better so that's exciting (AT&T)!

Yep, already installed it on the LTE Nexus 7. Reports are that one of the fixes is for exchange email on the stock app constantly syncing.
 
Started watching Dr. Who from the 2005 season again. Also watched the 50th anniversary episode and patiently waiting for the new season to start back up. Makes wish I had cable so I can watch Xmas night.
 
I love this little Meenova thing. Had to install a couple of different apps for it to work on the Nexus 5, but it's working very smoothly. Very fast read speed (I still have that super fast micro SD card I got with the Note 3), and Boardwalk Empire plays just as smoothly as it ever has.

Very unobtrusive, and an extra 60 usable GB for movies and stuff.

It also comes with a USB adapter, so loading it with things from the PC is very convenient.
 
Just ordered a Moto G for fun (well, as a media device at work; don't want to kill the G2 with too much flour :p). Shipping next week. Went with the 8Gb as it should be fine. Might also experiment with a T-Mo SIM for some time though it won't be to explemplary since it won't have LTE.

So, this morning, I decided I would like to go with the iPad Air again. The Mini was so wonderful, but I missed the bigger display of the Air, so yes, I went to Best Buy.

Everything went off without a hitch, as usual (I really think they no longer have a ban policy on returns. Seriously, this is like my 7th return since October and I'm still in their good graces. . .weird. . . )

Anyway, everything went off without a hitch, except when I open iBooks, I get the dreaded iOS 7 version, with the milky white garbage staring back at me.

Oh why. Why!!??

WOW! Going on 8 hours without a post? What is going on that I'm missing??? :p

I had a great SPECIAL DAY yesterday. You see...

Three months ago exactly in September, the Darling Bride & I went to a local Chinese place to eat. We got NEARLY identical fortune cookies naming YESTERDAY as a special day: "Remember three months from today. Good things are coming your way". Two of them, pointing to one specific day.

So I made it special for her. I had flowers delivered, bought a little "U R special to me" cake and took her to a nice steak dinner. Got her a super romantic card, too. Guys, take lessons from the Master of Romance here ;)

And she made it pretty special for me in return, believe you me!

All in all, a good day to NOT be online! Now it's back to the virtual grindstone... :)

I am having a devil of a time with my Note 3's ROM running low on memory. I created Slot 1 in Safestrap with 3GB system memory, 3 GB user memory, and 500 GB cache. And it's out already! :(
 
A carpet? In Bed Bath & Beyond? Good Grief! Doesn't he know that shower curtains are a more appropriate attire? What a lousy sense of fashion... the carpet was probably white too. And after Labor Day! :p

Hope everyone is staying safe & warm. Roads are horribly icy here in NJ and the commute in to work was quite dangerous.
 
Morning everyone! Just got the e-mail confirmation that Google Play has finished their review of my app for inclusion into the Education Store. It got approved :D I need to go back and make my paid version live now and get it approved...maybe some school districts would want to buy a bulk license and skip the ads.
 
Morning all, hope no one is getting hit with this weather too badly!

I got some good news over Thanksgiving - my Verizon contract expires on Dec 15 :D So I'll probably be buying my N5 tonight! Just to confirm: the one you purchase from Google Play is totally unlocked, correct? I can use it on any carrier that supports it? I would just get it through T-Mobile, but it appears they only have the 16GB version. Am I crazy for buying the unlocked 32GB myself and bringing it to T-Mobile? It works out to be the same amount of money, doesn't it?
 
It's funny the different types of people you encounter when selling things. Listed the rest of my camera equipment for sale this morning on a photography site.

One guy sent 1 PM asking a couple of questions about the camera body and asking for my paypal. He sent the payment of $500 after one PM.

Another guy is on his 5th PM asking one question at a time about my 50mm f/1.8 lens that I have listed for $50...he still hasn't asked for my paypal in order to buy it.

Both items listed on the same site, same listing, with the same number of pictures of each and same level of detail.


Speaking of weather...I don't watch NFL football at all, but man it was fun watching those games in the snow yesterday. I couldn't turn away from them :)
