Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!

Han - Sorry to hear about your friends forgetting you have feelings. Glad there was no murder as well. And I did think of you tonight - I had to return something to Target and laughed because someone in front of me said this was the 4th time her daughter changed her mind on what she wanted.

So, I did it. I jumped. I am no longer with Verizon. I went to T-mobile. I have a G2. I won't admit what I allowed my daughter to get. :o :p Now I have to find out how to root this baby.

Exactly what the title suggests...flashing. I picked the recovery I wanted and in 5 seconds my G2 had recovery flashed.

Quite few people used it in the xda forum on the G2, for all carriers.

Btw, my niece loved the Urban Decay makeup. She opened it and immediately gave me a hug :)

Awesome that she loved the makeup! I'm glad I could help.

I have to root first then install that right? I haven't rooted a phone in almost 2 years.
Right now I'm looking at the IORoot package on XDA.

Done! But I'm going to have to play tomorrow. I have to work so I have to get some sleep. :(
Although I have SuperSu but I don't know if cwm or twrp is on....guess I should check that.

Congrats on the G2, BB! :D
Not sure what development is like for the T-Mo version but VZW is getting plenty of love. I'm on a CM 4.4.2 ROM and love it. You can always install the LG camera app on top of an AOSP ROM if you like (it's what I use as default since it's so much better).
Like Halon said, Flashify makes it so much easier to flash a recovery image rather than going through ADB. ;)
Be sure to visit the G2 forums, it's very lonely over there. :o

Congrats on your G2, BB!

That's the thing about rooting and ROMming: even most veterans of the procedure get their pulses racing when they do it. It can be nerve wracking!

Well folks, the ol' Chief had a pretty delightful Christmas, as delightful as can be expected under the circumstances. I got a 73" tripod to replace the old junky 5-foot tripod I used to use for celestial viewing. Had to do some serious yoga moves to get under the 15x70 binoculars with that little thing! Now I can just stand there and look up :D

Also got a set of Audio Technica M50s professional studio headphones for my... well... music studio. The junk room we call an office will be gutted in 2014, and a whole new Office/Studio is going in. Will be nice :)

Along with some other delightful gifts, Amazon card, etc. it was a good day. My hallmark gift to the Darling Bride, my own delicate rose, was a genuine rose that was cut in its prime and dipped in purest 24k gold to preserve it forever. Unlike the flowers I bring her that wilt with time, my love for her goes on... as will this rose.

Take notes from the master, fellas ;)

Still no word from the VA about testing her to determine where the internal bleeding is or how to stop it - of course it's the holidays and I expected nothing. But NOW I'm going to start going Chief on them if I don't get some tests scheduled in pretty short order.

I hope everyone had a god Christmas and paused - at least for a moment or two - to ponder the true origin and meaning of the holiday.

Anyway, back to the grind! :)

Oh no. I'm getting an itch.

No, not that kind of itch. Now that iOS 7 has been jailbroken, the tiny-screened, plain looking Crapple 5s is calling my name. . .

I. Must. Resist. Her.
