Galaxy Note 3 running 4.4

I installed a Root Verification app which did confirm that the phone is rooted. Well I am confused and quite possibly bummed after reading the last response. Can anyone verify where I am at with this fiasco?

I am not that well versed in "fake" phones, but one thing that is for sure is that this would be an international, non-lte Note 3,if authentic.

I thought i had read somewhere that fakes can't access the play store though. Maybe someone can confirm, if what I read, is accurate.

As long is Android with Play Store install, any phone can access include fake phone.

Physical layout of the phone don't tell much as nowsday fake phone is 99.99% identical. Fake Note 3 already redesign up to v10, which means it is much and much identical look now.

Easier to spot it is fake or not, either one of below fail means it is fake.

• See Kies can detect or not.
• Some fake phone came with pre-install modified Antutu to show you are running a real one but in-fact it is not and cannot be uninstall or update.
• Install CPU-Z apps mostly can tell the actual spec.
• Put your IMEI here Check IMEI - IMEI.info will tell your phone is Note 3 or not. If not recognize then is fake.
• Use Phone Info to check https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo If a fake one, there are no CSC info, as well as Manufacturing Date.
• Your S-Pen mostly will be different as it is not Wacom stylus.
• Type *#0*# and check whether your test screen is same as attachment below or not, if not then it is fake.

So then what is involved with reinstating the phone to factory condition? Is it something I can do? This was purchased privately and a refund is not possible.

If you still able to contact the seller, I suggest you try the best ask for refund. You may show this thread to the seller to proof the unit sold is not a real Note 3.

In between if you spend not much and can't get any refund, just use it as it still run pretty well but forget any updates in future.

For your information, a new fake Note 3 is around USD $200 to USD $240.
