Root Galaxy Note LTE

Hi All,
I just bought the new Galaxy Note LTE (SGH-I717) version and wondering if anyone have ever tried rooting on this. What I have found all is about N7000. I would appreciate for any quick response.
 
Thanks Metroid for your warm welcome. The link you mentioned here, I have seen that before I post , most that talks about N7000 series. I am looking tutorial and resource for LTE version (SGH-I717R) to to root. Hope you can redirect me correctly.
 
Welcome to AF dbanglad. Your thread has been moved to the Note LTE All Things Root subforum. In my brief travels here, I noticed a few users claim to have achieved root. I believe this will be the best location to get you an answer.

But I want to give a friendly word of warning...
Samsung has what is called a "flash counter" on the phone, where every time the phone is flashed with something, it counts/adds-to the flash counter and moves that number up by one; this is a way for Samsung to know if you messed with the phone so they can say you voided your warranty; blah blah blah.

Now that link says it will not increase the flash counter, good, but that does not mean it will not mess with some other system file(s). With newer android devices, whenever you change any system files, including adding root, it may cause you to lose the ability to install any official updates possibly including the soon to be released ice cream sandwich. Which means there is a chance if you root the phone, you will have to wait for a developer to come out with an ICS rom and you will not be able to install the offical update.

Hey guy, did you ever root your Note? Are you with AT&T or did you unlock your Note like I did. I'm with TMobile now and only get Edge service. They say in these forums that if you root you can gain 3G and 4G services. Please let me know.

You def can get 3G/4G on Tmobile. An entire thread over on XDA with how-to's and everything.
