Galaxy note vs HTC one x

I myself just made the switch away from an iPhone into the incredible world of Android. I was debating hard between HTC OneX and the Note, and ended up going with the Note. It just feels right. It's more than a phone and yet still feels comfortable. I'm also with the people saying they'll never consider a phone less than 5" because let me tell you, just after using my Note for a week, I picked up my wife's iPhone 4 and it felt incredibly tiny. I'm still young and have great eyesight, I just don't have a desire to try to read tiny text anymore either!

Love the Note!

Hi There I'm glad you Enjoying the Note Mate

I pick one up this weekend also too I got the White Model. I like White ;)

I'm so glad you didn't go with HTC One X is because It doesn't have SD Card Slot & I Think No removable battery also which wasn't what I want for a phone.

Have you notice holding the Iphone 4 has it felt heavyer then the Note I think it does.

Take Care, Mate

Animeware ;)

no removable battery and no sd card slot on a smartphone in 2012 = fail

end of discussion..

Except this seems to be the way the market is moving in 2012 and beyond, so I'm not sure how much "fail" is involved here.

As far as the battery on the One X goes, so far everything I've read suggests the new chipsets (both the quad core and dual core versions) do a great job with power consumption. (Yes, I'm aware of the battery bug issue but it sounds like it was just that, a bug). I've actually been debating between the Note and the One X myself. I wish the Note would have been updated to ICS already to make the decision easier. That and I still don't know if I can live with a 5.3 screen day to day. How do you'll carry this thing around in the summer when you wear less clothes?

P.S. Why so many shots at the iPhone? Some of you are waaaaay too defensive when it comes to Apple. A thread dedicated to discussing two Android devices seems to contain more conversation about Apple's product.

Haha, I got the reference to it. Here's the video for those that missed it:
iPhone4 vs HTC Evo - YouTube

i will have to show this to all my brain-washed iphone users, haha... once you are out you realized what you missed, but i have to admit i eny the marketing geniusses at apple. it's not that it's a bad phone it's just outdated and so strictly controlled, it's actually disgusting...

If you want a smartphone.with everything like removeable battery and micro sd card slot then gi with the note that simple. I know the note si far so good i love it and HTC one x i heard nothing but problem issues with that phone wi fi. Issues is pretty bad thing.

You know, the non-removable battery would not be a HUGE issue if they actually put some THOUGHT into it and made it somewhat bigger to account for the fact that you can't carry a spare.

1800mAh? Still, W.T.F.?

But, I agree, the screen size is an issue now. 4.x"? Nah, too small for me now! :D

Hopefully Seidio or somebody makes a case with a battery in it like I used to have for my 3GS. They make them for iPhone 4/4S so we'll see.

Yeah I'm spoiled with 2500mAh in my Note. They really need to work on power consumption in general, iOS included.

If my GPS issues aren't fixed with my replacement Note then I'll be going to the One X. I really like HTC phones and never had issues with them. Same cant be said for every Samsung phone I've suckered myself into buying thinking Samsung should have gotten it right this time. It's gonna take a lot to get me to purchase a Samsung phone ever again.

Sad part is I wish I'd of stayed with Sprint and gotten the new Evo. Damn it....Er or at least...if they weren't so screwy with their bill I wouldnt of left because in all honestly I had better coverage in my area with Sprint than with AT&T. In town it's fine but when out of town is when I notice the downgrade in coverage being with AT&T now.
