Help Galaxy S 2 CSC Code

cooket3

Newbie
Hi

Im GS2 now does not get passed the boot screen Galaxy logos and requires a completely new firmware re installed to hopefully fix it.

I have fully looked into this and I need my phones CSC code. When I have looked online they say input numbers into the keypad, but I cannot do this as my phone does not even load up. How else can I find my phones CSC code?

I originally bought it from Phones 4U in the UK on their exclusive sale (The phones were on sale before everyone else) My phone was on o2 at the time, however it there was no boot O2 logo or branding so I assume the phone was unlocked. Now I'm on 3 network if this makes a difference.

I need the CSC to download the correct firmware. Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Have you tried going into recovery and wiping the cache partition?

The simple answer is, you can't unless you can enter *#1234# into the dial pad.

Best, educated, guess from the information that you have given, would be to download and flash the latest stock Samsung, unbranded, firmware for the UK, (CSC code XEU)...

I9100XWLSW_I9100XEULS5_XEU.zip

You will need to follow the instructions and link in #1.7 of the Jelly Bean update - Dummies Guide.

Thanks

I cant get into the recovery mode to wipe the cache. Assuming its hold volume down then firmly press the power on.

I can only access the ODIN part by holding volume down, home button then the power button.

Ill use your best educated guess for the firmware and the instructions provided. Ill let you know how it goes.

Thanks

Recovery is Home+Vol_Up+Power. Keep all three pressed until the recovery screen appears.

Thanks Slug, but I cannot get into recovery mode this way either.

The first time I tried it with the buttons help, the android guy came up with that spinning atom thing, like when it updates, then I released the buttons and then the screen went black.

Now every time I try this the normal samsung galaxy 2 logo (The white writing) shows up for a few seconds, then goes black for a few seconds and then the logo comes back for a few seconds, then goes off.

Ive tried other variations of button presses in order and a soft reset (pulling battery out then holding power button to erase all power)

Have you any other thoughts before I try the ODIN route?

Thanks

Hi again

I finally got my PC running to try Odin and it failed with an error of connecting through a COM or something occurred

Any Suggestions?

Thanks

Hi

Ive been busy trying all options, changing USP ports, Kies Versions, different leads etc..

Sometimes my PC, works PC or laptop recognise the phone when plugged in in download mode and install it ready for use on the computer. However Odin still fails to do its work. Then when I try to do it again after unplugging the phone, the pc does not recognise the phone or it has not been installed properly for use, after it has already done so. When I try the above the phone and USB cable is stationary. Maybe the connection on the phone is broken as previously when It did work and I had it charging on my PC I would knock the wire and my PC would re find the phone as if it had been removed?

Are there any last efforts I can do to try get this fixed before I consider sending it out to be fixed or buy a new phone?

Thanks again
