Galaxy S2 i9100 help!?!?!

So I just rooted my phone and updated to kitkat 4.4.2.... now I try to connect my phone via my computer so I can restore my contact list through Kies but it just keeps trying to connect and doesnt do anything. Yes i've enabled usb debugging but still nothing... Can anyone help with this?

How did you update to 4.4.2
