Help Galaxy s2 problems, please help

Dear friends

I had the Galaxy s2 2 weeks ago it's (GT-I9100G)
it has Android 2.3.4 built on it localized version ( Arabic)
and I have some problems with it , I hope you can help me ..

1- the camera always hangs (freezes the last picture on the camera screen)
and the mobile stops working unless i kill the task of camera program, when I try to use it again , I have the message (camera failed) and I have to restart the mobile..
when I reduce the resolution from 3264*2448 to 3264*1968 the problem disappears but this is not an optimum solution ,, I tried the last camera firmware update by Samsung APPS but it told me that I have the last version

2- the mobile started to hang and freeze frequently with many applications, yesterday it hanged about 6 or 7 times on different applications and also on the ordinary usage..

thanks in advance friends, please help me if you can , I'm very frustrated having these problem with my first Android phone..
 
Hello and welcome to Android Forums bmkbmk!

So glad that you highlighted the fact that you have a "G" version.

Assuming that you are on "stock" firmware, you could go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Camera and delete data... to see if that helps.

If not, you could do a Factory data reset in Settings > Privacy.

This will wipe your phone and return it to its out-of-the-box state. You can then re-add your app's, one-by-one, to see if one of them is causing a problem.

Thanks a lot brother for your concern ,

I Intend to do the factory reset today, I know this may solve the problem of applications and menu freezing, but the camera problem was found on the mobile since the first day I had it..

any way I will try to delete the camera data first as you mentioned, I hope this helps too,,

by the way, I tried to make the factory reset before but it asks me about the password of Samsung apps,, is this OK ???

I have some good news :)

I have the factory rest done, and the camera reset also

and installed (android booster) and (eset antivirus)

the Galaxy SII made a record with me ,,, (one day without hanging or freezing) :)

by the way , the reason of camera freezing on 8 MB resolution was the (anti-shake) on
when I turned it off ,, the freezing disappeared..

I have the same problem and same model with white color. My camera have the same problem and itd getting on my nerve. I checked the setting and the anti shake was off the whole time. So seems that its not the root of the problem for me. Any advice?
 
8mp is way too big for a cam pic. .. :) mine is set as 3.2M, that's approximately 2mb per shot (or less) 8mp i believe can print a tarpaulin ad :)
 
Is this means that I cannot use 8mp as it will make the camera freeze? What's weird is that when it freeze the orientation sensor still works and can see it still rotating according to my orientation just with the captured image freeze at the screen.

Hi,

The excat problem is persist with my samsung galaxy s2.. This takes me to the nerves.. After spending such a cost in buying the phone its really annoying... Samsung plz fix thisss....... Hope fully the ICS 4 upgrade will solve this camera problem... please help guys...
 
I bought my Samsung Galaxy SII - 1900G White Color in almost a month. but even during my 1st time I on it, something it just so wrong with it.
there's a blue color at the top everytime I scroll.
and the most I hate about this SII is it kept hanging all the time!!!!!!!!!!:mad:
The same prob with camera and now everything! Urghhh!!! I'm too disappointed with it. :(
 
Sorry to hear about your problems. I can tell you however that the blue scroll is normal.

As for the others, try going to the app and clear its data. It will reset these apps settings to original and might solve some issues. Also take note of installed apps in case there are some clashing. Final option is to do a factory reset and wipe cache. Press home+power+vol up buttons simultaneously and will bring you to a place you can do that.
 
As i mention earlier also i have GT-I9100G model, and the Camera always hang up:confused:. I do restore factory settings, I test all the ways but it works for some time might be 10 pictures or less, then after some times its hang-up again. Until unless I reboot the mobile the camera does't work. I am looking solution from Samsung or Android developers to fix this problem :(. Samsung really cheated people to hidden release of 'G' version without proper support.

Looking for Fix for this issue..
