Galaxy S2 root

I got myself a Galaxy S2 (advised by good folks here a month or so ago).

I am so glad I waited its the best phone I ever owned period, and coming from theIphone 3G it was a revolutionary piece of kit.

I am getting on with android and love it, but I am also ready after playing to root it as I want to get the best out of it and play.

I jailbroke my Iphone before but had so many issues with it crashing I had to give up after several attempts and never bothered again so I am a bit wary of messing with my Samsung.

Firstly is it as painful as Jailbreaking. Is it easy to do and is each one specific. to the phone.

I am IT savvy used to working with PC's and macs and a bit of linux but my linux skills are basic. How hard is it to do it? Is it worth it ( I love the idea of messing around with various parts of the phone ie clocking etc).

I did it!

And its great but, I am new to this and I cannot find anything, what if I need to go back to factory defaults for warrenty purposes, this was easy on the Iphone with regards to jailbreaking.

i'm not sure if there's an unroot method yet but eventually there should be.

Moving this to the all things root section, good luck on rooting and glad to see a lot of good advice already from out great users.
