galaxy s2 rooted to mod

I am new to all this android stuff & all.

I have Galaxy S2, which after some hiccups i finally managed to RooT.
Using 2 methods {ODIN+CF-ROOT}

So i Have 2 apps SUPERUSER & CWM Manager

The phone is successfully rooted.

But i have few Queries. :-

1} In Download mode The counter is to 3.
how do i reset it to 0 ?

2} What are the different types of available Kernels & ROMS for S2 ?

3} Suppose, after i root my cell ,install new Kernel & new ROM.
After all this stuff, i want it to get back it to the state as it came,
with STOCK KERNEL & ROM & BINARY COUNTER TO 0
so that my warranty doesnt get void.
How is this possbile ???

& thanks Slug for creating such a good guide for us n00bs, to get help

A USB jig off Ebay will reset your counter and remove your yellow triangle.

There are countless kernels and roms available once rooted. I recommend siyah kernel and as for custom roms I stick to check ROM revolution and dlevrom. 2 excellent roms in my opinion.

answering ur question 3.. simply flash the stock firmware that ur phone came with.. u wil automatically lose root.. then reset the flash counter using the usb jig as hawker mentioned.. however, this does not necessarily mean ur warranty is validated again.. this has been debatable and ive heard stories of it going both ways i.e. warranty being accepted and rejected, even though flash counter was reset, and firmware restored to original
