jumped the gun and went to link you sent me and did what was instructed. my phone is in download mode, with the little green droid on screen. up top, it reads the following: odin mode (in red); product name: sch-r760; custom binary download: yes (1 count); Current binary: samsung official. That's strange. When I went to US Cellular to look up your phone they listed it as a CDMA version of the S2. t-mobile doen't use CDMA phones.Samsung Galaxy S II Silver. Actually this is a link to the ntelos site. it has been on this downloading screen for at least an hour now.
downloaded from link at xda, package of uscc rooting. followed instructions and loaded phone with cwm using odin, one-click for fb14 kernel. hope phone is not bricked. my phone screen, when connected to pc reads: odin mode (in red) and the android icon reading, "downloading... do not turn off target. phone will not reboot for full operation: it just keeps looping on reboot, but never to the state where my os is functioning.
"downloading... do not turn off target" It sounds like you're in Odin download mode, which is not a bad thing. If you can get there you can fix your phone, usually. You just need to find the right stock rom .tar file for your phone and install it with Odin. I don't know anything about your phone and I'm not sure where to get the stock. I looked on sammobile firmware but it isn't listed. Are you sure you have the fb14 kernel?
