Help Galaxy S3 freezing problem

Lurker
after this frustrating freezing problem showed up about 8 months ago I have tried most things like the dummy file generator, no good unless you do it every day or two.
Alas, I have found a solution:
. obviously download the latest android version
. download AVG virus - probably not need for this but did it anyway
. download AVG cleaner - now change settings for auto clean for daily
choose browser history and downloads, also clean app cache - all.
. restart phone after every re-charge.

Important - ensure you change the frequency of the clean to DAILY.

After having my S3 freeze every two or three days and then freeing up about 20 minutes later and the occasional reboot on its own - its now gone two weeks without a problem.

You may need to wipe the cache partition, do the following:
1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up key, Home key, and Power key at the same time.
3. When the phone vibrates, let go of the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key.
4. Press the Volume Down key to move to and highlight wipe cache partition.
5. Press the Power key to select and wipe the cache partition.
6. After the wipe is finished, go back up till reboot system now is highlighted and press the Power key to restart the phone.

^this. And try an app cache clean widget.
You must have underlying problems there though OP because all this shouldn't be necessary

I have a samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 which has stuck on logo problem, try to flash with Odins but when phone put on Download mode on screen Product not found so it is not go to recovery mode what can i do now ????

I am having the S3 freeze since it updated the software for Samsung.... never did it before.. I know you cannot roll it back.. is there another way... it happens more when I am playing Minion Rush... But it can happen when you try too do anything.. I have too keep pulling the battery out and restarting.. I have not had this phone long .its the 3g one....am not that tech savvy so keep it simple... when it comes too these phones I have deleted heaps of pictures cleaned cache on all things like Facebook etc. still doing it .. Could it be the battery.. I tend too think not as it only happened when they did their new software upgrade...

It could be memory an app or sw issue causing it to freeze! How is your memory? If it just happens on that game have you cleared the cache on the game? You can. Do that in settings app manager! Could be ram have you closed running apps! Last resort would be to factory reset it but you would need to make sure all info is backed up so you don't loose it!

As a rule of thumb if your phone is acting up after a Firmware update you may need to factory reset it, as painful as it can be I've had to do it numerous times.

It's usually a good idea though so I'm a dab hand at setting up a reset phone now ha.
