Does anyone have an idea of when they will update the Metro website and have them available online?

EDIT: They are on the site now, but they are not selling them. It says they are refilling their online inventory. They are giving away free colored flip covers, online only, until 11-19. But no online inventory right now.

In Tampa, with tax, BillFloat is not an option for this phone, due to the price. It comes up to $533 and BillFloat only goes up to $500, so no luck trying that with this phone. I just tried it on the Metro site, and confirmed that it is NOT an option. Just thought I would throw that out there for anyone that may have been wanting to use this option.

There are different colors available, BUT it doesn't let you choose what color you would want. I guess they send you w/e color they please. I would'nt like to get a pink flip cover smh Metro...

The flip covers are garbage btw. Only gimmick about it is that when you close the cover it dims the screen.

If you drop the phone with one of these on, it doesn't provide very good impact protection from the fall compared to other cases.

you get what you pay for.

This is total BS I tried to purchase the phone online and the transaction declined 2 times! There is more than enough money on my account for the transaction to go through. Then I called metro and they said it's not their fault and there was nothing they could have done.

I just ordered the S3 online. I called my local store today, and they told me that they're getting it tomorrow. They might get it tomorrow during the afternoon (when I work) so I won't be getting it til Wednesday morning. So I just ordered online which I will get it Wednesday also, but will avoid that activation fee. Can't wait til it gets here. Don't care much about the free case it comes w/ since I already bought one of those. I'm too excited :D!!

thats because its not a problem on their end.

make sure you put all your info in correctly. otherwise, you need to talk to your bank. its possible your bank has a purchasing amount limit on your card.

its happened to me on a few occasions with large purchases where i had to call my bank and get them to increase my purchase amount limit.

Same thing is happening to me on my credit card account... more then enough credit available so I'm on the phone with chase to ask them to let the purchase go through.. cause they decline big purchases and I gotta tell them

Edit: Bwhahhaha... S3 purchased!!! Finally I can get rid of this CRAP LG Optimus V phone!!!!

You know, while I can see it'd be inconvenient, I think those soft limits are really good things.

My experience has been that my bank anyway (Wachovia/WF) has been really good at notifying me of questionable purchases using my card number and especially on fixing the very few small bad situations that have cropped up.

I would think the banks losses from having to fix these ID thefts is hefty and I can sure see them wanting to limit their exposure. I can also see $500 as a good general amount for them to start questioning.

I wouldn't think it'd take more than a minute or 2 to call them up ahead of time, ID yourself and tell them you were expecting to make such and such large purchase in the next 48 hours. It seems pretty easy, cheap and effective insurance to me. Insurance for both the banks AND you.

(There are times when I take motorcycle trips that cross several states. I can see those purchases ringing bells at my card carrier. I usually call ahead of time, give them the dates of the trip and states I'll be in and that always helps a lot in reducing/eliminating them holding up a purchase as being possibly questionable.)
