Galaxy S3 news and more !!

Just got an update from one my sources some stores might have it for next Friday, with an introduction in the first week of October and the price that I was told was $499 so it sounds solid at this point but of course not 100% but pretty confident though so let's see ;):D:)
Oh boy oh boy

Available to buy next Friday? Introduction the first week in October? Going public with it?

Yeah my boy just text me on that first week of October official introduction some stores might have it by next Friday with a price tag of $499 mow the price is coming from other inside sources I'm just waiting for two other big sources once they tell me then it's pretty much a done deal but as of now it's strong leads

You should ask for a picture just to be on the safe side .you know metro play games and you have your heart set for S3 and that maybe a new esteem called 3S:eek::D:rolleyes::mad::mad:

I'm tempted to wait a week after it comes out to see some first hand input on the S3. And of course, some lovely videos (specially the unboxing). You know, just to see how well it's performing, and check out the possible bugs etc... :D;)

Awesome! So should we probably check corporate stores first before retail stores?

They been testing it out on metro's network and no issues at all this beast is ready to be unleash for metro :D

Yeah, waiting an extra week or two to get the S3 after it's released is really going to kill you guys.

I think I'll save the extra $34 - $38 in taxes and order mine from wirefly when they have it available a couple weeks later. That's almost a month's worth of service these fools are willing to pay in taxes just so they can say they're the first to have S3 on Metro. Pathetic lol.

What wire fly man try lets talk.com they will have it cheaper i only paid 270.00 with overnight shipping with this esteem beat that 400.00 from in store . Check out lets talk .com and if its a problem with the device they pay for s/h and send you a new phone :what:

Actually, wirefly has better prices. Letstalk is selling the Esteem right now for $349....wirefly has it for $328.88

Those prices change every tuesday and if you know someone with a email address that brought from lets talk its more savings

Im too afraid to buy from those websites. What if they send you a refurbished phone? How do you make sure the phone is BRAND-NEW and not fcked up inside? Why do these websites sell the phones for cheap? I mean, there has to be a catch...right?

well if its a new phone dont see how the managed to get a refurbished one but in terms of phones we already have on metro refurbished dosnt mean anything bad just means been fixed with new parts and new screen buttons and etc i have a friend that got his esteem replaced and his refurbished has lasted alot longer than his original new one.

People always talk so bad about refurbished that anytime I hear that word I immediately think; trash...:o

Its a mind control.

some people say its trash = everyone assume and get scared therefore their conclusion = trash

Ppl with no technical knowledge = apple is best = therefore everyone with no knowledge this it's the best ...

See how this works ...

$499 is a GREAT price for this phone. Remember folks this is the #1 phone on the market right now and has sold over 20 million handsets.

Frikin awesome.

True, but soon to be out done, if not by the next Nexus, then by quite a few rumored to be released this fall. ;)

Hopefully not by anything that will blow it out of the water... Atleast I hope. I want that investment to last me a good year before I sell it off and buy the next big thing Metro provides (hopefully the S4).

Yup, I def understand the "apple is best" affect. I was just unware of what refurbished truly meant, but now I know it's not a 'bad' thing. Come on S3!!!

which is good because its driven the price down for a SPECTACULAR device.

if we were getting the note 2 we'd be paying $800.

When I night my esteem from wirefly it want refurbished. The lifetime calls were at zero and the text message counter was zero too. Which means it wasn't refurbished. When I got a replacement from metro the life calls were already at 75 hours... Refurbished.

I know guys!!!

Think about it...

We are getting !*! GALAXY S 3*!* Yeah the top of the line galaxy s3!!! NOT WATERED DOWN BTW. Considering how the phones development is moving along this phone will least last 1-2 Years. Look at the Galaxy s2, its still a GOOD phone. This was a nice move on metropcs, I give them credits...

Can't speak for Letstalk, don't know them.

Wirefly sells for less the same way Amazon does - major strings attached for early termination.

Wirefly has a support account on our forums, not many vendors are allowed that. You get a problem with them, you let them know and ok to do it in a public thread for all to see if they treat you right (you'll exchange account details privately though).

Not pimping for them, just being fair letting you know your options.

Besides, most phones have some sort of service menu you can get into and check its status. Don't know it for the SGS3, sorry.

The most important thing about Wirefly is you have to read the contract details carefully before you go with them. Some do and run away, others do and come out happy.

You have the attention of a million plus members strong forum here, and they're ok with that. It's therefore generally win-win for everyone.

BTW, androidforums.com doesn't make a dime on them, so I have no conflict of interest here. Members first! :)
