Yup, I have been assimilated.

Yeah, going to give it a whirl on AT&T.
I was going to pick up an S4 on a new line, but decided to give the N4 because eventually the need to tinker will strike, so, might as well make it a bit easier on myself. Besides those stock roms with touchwiz are over a gig for some of them (if they are multi carrier) many where upwards of 900mb :eek:

Stock, I think perhaps 200mb and under for the most part?

I got my fingers crossed that I don't have the problems I had with the N7. I mean, it already soured me on 4.2.2 and android, but with most newer phones getting 4.2.2 and my sisters note 1 now running 4.2.2 beanstalk rom getting decent battery life and LTE, I figured the N4 may be worth a shot and a lot cheaper then the S4 stock / GPE.

Ups says its due tomorrow. It probably will not be my replacement device, but a toy. Still may have a note 2 replacement on tap that I may not even root. Depends on the experience with the N4.

I hope it ties me over for at least a little bit. Moto X announcement and release or the monster HTC one phablet or note III announcement. I want to know how much bloat they stuff on that thing. 7.5gb free from 16gb :p

If the "new nexus 7" is outed on the 24th, I suspect 4.3 will be as well. I also suspect I am not going to be "first in line" to get one. I suspect the play store is going to fold under the load (again).
 
Yeah, I had to blink twice when I saw Clean ROM (TW based) was something around 650Mb! Said to hell with that and loaded up something AOSP which was around 130Mb. :)

Yeah, the only reason I went with a TW rom was because I wanted to keep some of the functionality the note II offered like s pen features. The latest clean rom has some quirks though, or, perhaps it is nova launcher. I downloaded currents and it made an icon on my home screen alright... right on top of the adobe acrobat reader. I was able to move it though.

Hey. A Dutch friend is going to Calgary DC for a month. He is bringing his S3. There's no wifi where he's staying. Buying a local pre paid simcard is an option maybe? Any one here with some good advice?
 
Sounds like ups dropped off the device a little bit ago. I'm still at work. Still thinking about doing an unboxing. I am about 25% for doing it.

Should work as long as the phone is unlocked.
 
Good news and bad news.
The good news? I did decide to do an unboxing video!
The bad news? I turned off audio recording on the device. After I rambled on for over 5 minutes. :o

So, since it was unboxed already, I decided to do a quick look at the N4 along with the note 2.

Checking the video and will upload shortly :)
