Galaxy S3 Watering Hole

Its technically a walk although I've been told some women run some of it. Its the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. 33.3 miles over 2 days in NYC.

Hey all :)
Just sitting here wondering if I perhaps gave Samsung and the note 2 a bad rap. I mean it is possible that I did get a lemon and the tinkering did not help much.

Last night while listening to Google music, my device started to twitch randomly like buttons where being pressed. This has happened before while running a rom but I am stock rooted now. Not sure what was going on but it seems like this device has had issues right out of the gate as many of my post can attest too.

It also has taken a couple hard spills and been rained on a bit due to my chasing.

I started to wonder if I should upgrade to the note 3 and use it with out root or anything like that.

Gizmodo says call quality is terrible and the phone lags, but Phandroid says phone calls are good and the phone is buttery smooth. Hmm. Eh, too big for me, anyway. I did count 17 Samsung apps, though. Damn! Dial it back, some, Sammy.

Lets see, weak reception on the device? Why, its my old Galaxy Nexus all over again! Could have been an international device. Lag, I guess is okay, but still irks me a bit.

Based on the troubles I have had with my last two samsung phones, I don't know. I would just be in it for the battery I guess. More digging around to do :)

They didn't really say bad reception, but bad sound quality.

Audio quality is universally bad on
this phone, which is a shame because
despite being tablet-ish, it's still
supposed to be able to make phone
calls. Callers had constant issues
understanding me and vice versa.
Using T-Mobile's Wi-Fi calling helped a
bit, but not enough. The external
speaker is bad, too. Aside from
sounding muddy and totally
unbalanced, its position at the bottom
of the phone makes it extremely easy
to muffle.

Maybe they just got a bad unit?

Or get an iphone?

I have seriously thought about that...

With google music coming to iOS, that kind of pushes me a bit more that way. But, the battery. A day of extra heavy use at work with the note 2, I have trashed the battery since the service sucks in the joint.

It is possible. Probably need more reviews from US versions of the device.

So, I played around with the note 3 today at best buy. It really has gotten my attention. Seems to be a really nice device.

I also checked out the LG g2 but did not spend much time with it. Its nearly bezelless but found the edge has a sharp lip. Snappy while scrolling and camera seemed pretty good, was able to get really close, as close as one could get with the security BS that bast buy lashes their devices with.

The note 3 seamed to impress me more then many of the other offerings so far.
