I'm here. Just keeping my fingers crossed that we keep power all night. It blipped a couple times and I have heard a lot of transformers go. Not to mention that I keep seeing posts on facebook that everyone around me in town has now power. It seems to be dying down though so that's promising.

Stay safe and keep us posted!

Sounds terrifying around there. Curiosity would get the best of me and I would likely go out in that mess.

I've wandered to the backyard a couple times - I think my family had the duck tape out in case I tried to go further. :p:D

BB : stay safe my dear...chime in to keep us updated.

Hulk : hope your good my friend.

I am about to head to bed so I will update anything new in the morning.

Sleep well Holers!

BB hope you are still okay.

Treb... I'm watching resident evil. Kinda bored actually. The occasional gust makes my building shake but aside from that I've been lucky up here.

You should head over to
Droid Life
& watch there show. Boys do a pretty good job actually.

Glad your safe bro. Night Night Holers.

Good morning..... !

Oh wait, I'm the only one up huh.....

Ok ok ok , I will try this in the actual morning.

Be back

Edit.....
It's morning now, where are y'all at?

I'm here K'lin! Not looking forward to going to work this afternoon. Since there's still no Metro service (they MAY open it back up for the afternoon), there's likely not going to be any staff at work. Should be an exciting day! :o

All the tips for you! Right? Anyway, after Ike it became more of a community feeling, people to better and are grateful. If there power at the restaurant ? If there is it may be super busy do to outages everywhere else. And if the restaurant lost power, you may not work anyway do to food losses. Glad you faired ok.

Haven't heard any update, but if there is a location that would lose power, that's the one.
Hear you on folks being nice if you're open. Quite a few bars in our area were open last night but we didn't venture out.
When we had the huge snow storm in '10, we never closed. We were gangbusters busy, it was pretty crazy. My bosses drove around the metro area picking up staff at their homes since they couldn't Metro in. Let folks know on a local blog yesterday we were closed and got this:
Too bad about Pete’s! They saved me on Day 4 of Snowpocalypse.
Now with something like 100 staff among 3 restaurants, there was no way we could do it. Like I said, it should be interesting. Wife is pissed I have to work. :o

She shouldn't be. It's about dedication to your employer. I had multiple employees work through Ike. They get a free get outta jail card from me. It shows a good work ethic that isn't found much today. Be safe in your travels for sure! Looks to be a bit messy out there.

Still a rainy windy mess here. Watching live feeds from Manhattan and it looks a whole lot better for them now. (thank goodness)
Coworker is giving me a ride to work since there's still no bus service.

Wow, there's a young woman just outside the Today Show (right in front of the window) with a small handwritten sign saying "Mom, I'm okay".
NYC really is a disaster.
