Afternoon aj.

Good luck with the sugars for pa'lin. Just got the brats back over here. Someone was extremely cranky until I turned on Keith urban. :rolleyes:

Hey hulk. Just an observation. When Ike hit, my son's went to work building fences. They were kids and I know your grown, but the need for electricians in the north east is going to be crazy. Just thought until you leave you could score quite big if you wanted, since that is your skill set. If you get on with an electrician up there or even a large electric company....it could be a huge foot in the door.
Don't want to be to motherly, but felt it a great opportunity for you .

The guy i have been working for has me on call while he is on vacation right now. I haven't heard a peep. Like I said we didn't get hit hard this far north but I will look around this afternoon and tomorrow. Maybe a little under the table work.. thank you.

Got my OEM copy of Windows 8 Pro 64bit builder. Its in a flimsy cardboard envelope littered with text and barcodes. Very plain package, I was expecting something a bit more snazzy.

I had to type in a URL in my browser to accept the license agreement for personal use. I guess I need to input my name and email address to accept the terms, then when I install the OS, I suspect I will need to use that same email address and of course my name.

Right now I am debating on actually installing it...

Aj.... Are you in the witness protection program? (Jk) is it not customary to input your info?
 
No, I just never used an OEM disc before. I always bought off the shelf but I guess M$ decided to do things different with this release.

I was going to install it on my Macbook pro but having second thoughts about my desktop.

Ah.... You are installing Windows on a Mac?
 
Actually Macs use standard off the shelf PC parts anyway but in a standardized way. Same motherboards, CPUS, graphic cards ram etc. PCs can use a multitude of different hardware combos.

That is easy over my head. I'm glad I have someone to make me feel like a phone dufus. Did you get to do any research on the super storm Aj?

No. I pretty much set this one out. This storm was serious business and I did not want to inadvertently pass along wrong information on it. There was also so much news coverage of it, it may have been redundant for me to rehash the same info.

Well, from what I understand, you are quite good at it. Have you thought of pursuing a career in weather?

Sorry AJ. Spent the night hanging out with the girls. Sending my brother back to MS tomorrow. Stressed and tired. Will catch up tomorrow hopefully.
